The dimly lit lobby of a small, rundown motel was quiet except for the hum of a small television perched on the desk. The desk clerk, an older man with graying hair and a tired expression, leaned back in his chair, absently watching the news. The screen flickered with the breaking story from Hanta City.
News Anchor: Incredible news from Hanta City tonight as a masked hero, known only as Kamen Rider Magnus Soul, has saved the city from a monstrous creature that blotted out the sky. The battle was intense, but thanks to this mysterious savior, the city is safe.
The screen cut to shaky footage of a colossal shadow being torn apart by a figure in gleaming armor, a scene both awe-inspiring and surreal.
Desk Clerk: Heh. What kind of nonsense are they putting on the news these days? A masked man saving the city?
The news story transitioned to another segment.
News Anchor: In related news, Blake Faust, the heir to the Faust family fortune, has returned to his family's company and revealed himself to be Kamen Rider Faust. This revelation has sent shockwaves through the corporate world.
Footage of Blake Faust, a young man with an intense gaze, standing at a podium and making his announcement played on the screen. The desk clerk shook his head in disbelief, chuckling at the absurdity.
Desk Clerk: Kamen Rider Faust? What is this world coming to?
As he laughed, his attention was caught by movement outside the window. Two figures dressed in black walked by, their presence ominous and unsettling. The desk clerk's laughter died in his throat, replaced by a growing sense of unease.
Desk Clerk: Who the heck are they?
Rising from his chair, he moved to the window and peered out, but the figures had vanished into the shadows. His curiosity piqued, and a touch of fear creeping in, he stepped outside into the cool night air. The parking lot was eerily quiet.
Desk Clerk: Hello? Anyone out here?
The only response was the distant sound of traffic on the highway. He turned to head back inside when a bloodcurdling scream pierced the silence. It came from the far end of the motel. His heart racing, the desk clerk ran down the parking lot, his footsteps echoing in the stillness. Reaching the source of the scream, he found a door ripped off its hinges, the wooden frame splintered and broken. The room inside was a mess, furniture overturned, and personal belongings scattered. The guest who had been staying there was nowhere to be found.
Desk Clerk: What the hell happened here?
He stepped into the room, looking around in shock. The air was heavy with a sense of foreboding, and the silence was almost suffocating. He pulled out his phone to call the police, but his hands trembled so much he could barely dial the number. Before he could make the call, a shadow moved in the corner of his eye. Spinning around, he saw nothing but the darkened corridor outside the room. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves.
Desk Clerk: Just get the cops here. They'll know what to do.
As he turned back to the phone, he heard faint, hurried footsteps behind him. He spun around again, but the corridor was empty, the oppressive silence returning. The sense of being watched, of something lurking just out of sight, grew stronger. Holding his breath, he stepped back into the parking lot, scanning the shadows for any sign of the intruders or the missing guest. The night seemed to close in around him, the silence now a living entity, pressing down with an almost tangible weight. Then he turned and saw it.
Desk Clerk: NO! NO! NOOOOO!!!
Back in the lobby, the sleeping desk clerk twitched and writhed around in his chair, as one of the two figures in black watched and laughed as he struggled.
?: This is why you're not supposed to fall asleep on the job. Hahaha.
The desk clerk's eyes burst open as light emanated from them, and he suddenly began to change.
?: HAHAHAHA!
Episode 1: Dream a little dream!
The roar of flames filled the air, and the suffocating heat pressed in from all sides. A man, sweat pouring down his face, stumbled through the burning building, his vision blurred by smoke and tears. The acrid smell of burning wood and debris stung his nostrils, but he pushed forward, driven by the desperate, heart-wrenching screams of a child.
?: Hang on! I'm coming!
He forced his way down a narrow hallway, the walls crackling with the ferocity of the fire. Pieces of the ceiling began to fall, crashing to the ground in bursts of sparks and embers. The screams grew louder, more frantic, guiding him to a door at the end of the hall.
?: I'm here!
Inside, the room was an inferno, but through the haze of smoke, he saw her, a little girl, huddled in the corner, tears streaming down her face. She reached out to him, her small hand trembling.
Girl: Help me, please!
He dashed forward, ignoring the burning pain in his lungs and the searing heat against his skin. He stretched out his hand, fingers just inches from hers.
?: I got you, I—
Before he could grasp her hand, a deafening crack echoed above. He looked up in horror as the ceiling gave way, massive beams and burning debris plummeting toward them. He lunged, trying to shield the girl with his body, his outstretched hand still reaching for her.
Girl: No!
The world collapsed into chaos and pain. The weight of the debris pinned him down, and he watched helplessly as the girl was engulfed by flames, her cries echoing in his ears.
?: No! No!
Everything went black.
The next day a truck pulled up to the motel, as the driver let a disheveled man out of the back, looking like he had just awoken from a horrible nightmare. He had medium length black hair, which he slicked back, as he dusted off his vest and jeans and fixed his tie. He was wearing a strange and ornate belt, with what appeared to be a clock on the face of it. He shook the hand of the driver.
Driver: You sure this is where you want me to drop you off?
?: Feels about right.
Driver: Huh. Well alright then. You take care of yourself out here.
?: Thanks. I appreciate the drive.
Driver: Hey, I never got your name.
?: …The name's…Nacht. Thanks again.
The two shook hands before the driver took off down the road. Nacht made his way towards the motel lobby, as he was distracted by what appeared to be a news van nearby, and a very talkative lady exiting it with her cameraman as she took pictures of the area.
Cameraman: Talena, I love you, but there is just no story out here in the sticks!
Talena: Are you crazy Joe?! There are stories all over the place ever since that news out of Hanta City! Crazy things going on, and stories of people going missing or turning into monsters!
Joe: I think it's a load of garbage! I mean every time we show up, things seem to be perfectly fine. Hoax after hoax! I don't know how much longer this old man can take the grind!
Talena: You're only as old as you feel!
Joe: Then why aren't I dead?
Talena: Move to Hanta City first. Apparently it's not a problem there!
Joe: Yeah, I'm not buying any of that.
Talena: Well I am! I just know that we're going to get to the bottom of this missing persons story!
Joe: Uh-huh. I'm telling you, if we don't find something, you're going to get fired for taking the news van without permission.
Talena: Yeah yeah yeah! I know what I'm doing Joe! Trust me!
Joe: I don't know about all of that, but you're cute and I like you, so that's good enough.
Talena: Works for me! Are we rolling?
Joe: We will be in five, four, three-
Joe held up two, before pointing at Talena as she grabbed up her microphone.
Talena: This is Talena Wood, for Channel 5 news, and we're forty miles northeast of Hanta City, scene of several recent events that have intrigued the country! Not too far away from the big incident though other startling events have been taking place in small towns. Missing persons and reports of monsters. We're beginning an expose on the situation, we're going to keep you up to date on everything going on out here, because you the people, deserve to know the truth!
Joe: And we're out!
Talena: Great! That's how it's done! Joe! We're going to get to the bottom of this! I just know it!
Nacht smiled as he saw her beaming with pride, before he went inside to speak with the clerk. The clerk had a distant gaze about him, as he stared at the static on his old television.
Nacht: Excuse me, sir? Do you have a room available?
Desk Clerk: Huh? Room?
Nacht: Yeah, I'd like to get a room please?
Desk Clerk: Yeah, we have a room. Room 127, the room at the end.
The dazed clerk tossed the keys to Nacht, as he looked perplexed at the man.
Nacht: Don't you want me to pay for the room?
Desk Clerk: 127….the room at the end.
Nacht: Well…alright then. Thank you?
Nacht left some cash on the table before he walked back outside. That's when a motorcycle pulled up carrying a man and a young boy in the side car. The man wore a long coat, while the younger boy seemed to be wearing the hat that matched.
Young Boy: Are we going to stay here tonight Johnny?
Johnny: We sure are Timmy, because I'm exhausted. The bike handles well, but I'm still not used to driving.
Timmy: You made it through the mountains though!
Johnny: And it was white knuckle driving the whole time!
Timmy: Huh?
Johnny: Nothing. It's fine. This has been fun so far, and we're just getting started!
Timmy: Yeah!
As they walked by, Nacht thought he saw two figures in black standing in the distance, but as he adjusted his eyes, they disappeared, still he looked tense as he looked around. He stopped to see the man as confused as he was about the desk clerk, who just tossed keys mindlessly to him.
Johnny: You sure I don't have to pay you anything?
Desk Clerk: 126. It's at the end.
Johnny: Well…thanks?
Like Nacht, he left some money on the table and walked off with the young man to the room.
Timmy: Big bro, this is great! You think they have a pool?
Johnny: Not sure, but I guess we could go look.
Timmy: Yeah!
Nacht smiled before walking off to his own room. Not too far away, the two figures reappeared. One male and one female.
Unknown male: I told you it would work. We plant a seed, and he shows up to nip it in the bud.
Unknown female: He doesn't realize what he's doing.
Unknown male: He knows. He knows exactly what he's doing, and quite frankly, I hope this one ends him.
Unknown female: ….
That night as Nacht lay in bed, he tried his best to fight sleep. The lure was there, but he had so much on his mind, and the nightmare was still there, waiting for him. He sat up to drink some water, and stared at a picture on the wall. It was a watercolor painting of various colors, but it seemed to confuse him, as he tilted it and looked closely at it, before ultimately brushing it off and walking away. That's when he felt it, like a tingle on the back of his neck. A sudden jolt, something he had been waiting for. He grabbed up the clock shaped belt from his bag and ran out of the room.
In the next room over, Johnny felt an odd sensation too. It was something he was used to, and yet in this case it was completely unknown to him. He bolted awake to see the Hotel Clerk standing over Timmy, his eyes completely glazed over as a strange energy seemed to emanate from them both. Timmy was tossing and turning and struggling with something in his sleep.
Johnny: Hey! What's going on here!? Timmy! Timmy wake up! You, you're not a Wraith. What are you? Hey! Answer me! Answer m-
The Desk Clerk threw Johnny across the room. He seemed to reach for something at his waist that wasn't there, as he panicked about what to do next. That's when Nacht kicked the door open.
Nacht: Is this the room?!
Johnny: What? Who are you?
Nacht: No time to explain! I'm here to help!
Nacht ran over to see the Desk Clerk hovering over Timmy.
Nacht: It's a Dream Eater!
Johnny: A what?
Nacht: The Nightmelions sent a Dream Eater here? I was right. They track me when I sleep!
Johnny: This is feeling a little familiar.
Nacht: Stand back! I will put a stop to this!
Nacht put his ornate belt around his waist and activated it.
Belt: Doorway to a dream!
Nacht set the hands on the belt to midnight, and hit the button on top, putting him into a sleeplike state, before he disappeared in a flash of light.
Johnny: This is VERY familiar…and yet.
The air was thick with an oppressive darkness, the kind that felt alive, crawling into the deepest recesses of the mind. Nacht navigated the labyrinthine corridors of Timmy’s dreamscape. The walls of the dream were jagged, reminiscent of a large tomb-like cave, and echoed with the sounds of distant, terrified screams. Nacht moved silently, his senses heightened, following the faint, desperate cries of Timmy. Memories flickered in and out like broken film reels, a boy running through the corridors of an ancient cave, his face pale with terror.
Nacht: Hold on, Timmy. I'm coming.
As Nacht turned a corner, he saw it, a monstrous spider-like creature, a Dream Eater, its many eyes gleaming with malevolent hunger. The creature's legs skittered along the cavern floor, each step a thunderous boom in the dreamscape. It chased Timmy relentlessly, the boy's terrified sobs echoing through the cave.
Timmy: What am I doing back here? Why am I here? Johnny! Help me! Somebody, please!
Nacht’s heart clenched at the sound, and he quickened his pace. He saw Timmy trip and fall, the boy's wide eyes filled with despair as the Dream Eater closed in, its fangs dripping with a dark, viscous liquid.
Nacht: Timmy! Hold on!
With a surge of speed, Nacht leaped over the jagged rocks, landing between Timmy and the monstrous creature. The Dream Eater hissed, its many eyes focusing on this new threat.
Spider Dream Eater: You... this is my domain.
Nacht ignored the creature's taunts, his focus entirely on Timmy. He reached out a hand, glowing with a soft, comforting light.
Nacht: Timmy, take my hand. I’m going to get you out of here.
Timmy, tears streaming down his face, hesitated for only a moment before grasping Nacht’s hand. The warmth of the light seemed to calm him, his grip tightening as if it were his lifeline.
Nacht: You have no power here. The mind of this child, the dreamscape of the innocent. You think it belongs to you, but it doesn't. You have no power here, and you have no right to be here, and I'll rip you out of here myself!
The Dream Eater lunged, but Nacht was ready. With his free hand, he summoned a glowing energy, channeling it into a fist that radiated with an intense, purifying light. As the Dream Eater's fangs descended, Nacht struck, delivering a powerful blow to the creature's head.
Nacht: Begone, nightmare!
The impact was explosive, the light searing through the Dream Eater’s dark form. The creature shrieked, its body convulsing as the light spread, enveloping everything around it.
In the motel parking lot, Talena took pictures of the area, and opened her news van to check the internet for any updates on missing persons cases.
Talena: *sigh* Come on. I mean, it's not like I want people to go missing, but I need a lead on this story. I need to crack the case. I need something! Anything!
Suddenly, she heard a loud screech from room 126. She turned to see the door burst open, as a large spider-like monster toppled out, and the motel desk clerk took off running.
Talena: ….That'll do!
As she went to grab her camera, she heard voices from within the room.
Belt: Nacht into Dream!
Nacht: HENSHIN!
Out of the motel room stood a man, standing in a suit of armor. As he stepped forward, his belt seemed to address his name.
Belt: KAMEN RIDER DREAM!
Standing defiantly between the monster and the motel, where terrified guests watched from behind their curtains, was Kamen Rider Dream. His armor shimmered with a dream-like iridescence, a stark contrast to the darkness of the Dream Eater.
Kamen Rider Dream: Your nightmare ends here, Dream Eater!
The Spider Dream Eater hissed, its jaws clicking with a sinister rhythm. Without warning, it lunged forward, its legs striking out with deadly precision. Kamen Rider Dream leaped into the air, narrowly avoiding the attack. He landed gracefully on the roof of a parked car, his eyes never leaving the creature.
Spider Dream Eater: Hiss! The boy is tainted with death! He's seen the horrors that satiate my appetite! Give him to me, and I will spare you!
Kamen Rider Dream: With every fiber of my being, with all my strength, and everything I've got, I will tear you limb from limb for attacking that young boy Dream Eater! You will not corrupt and consume the dreams of the innocent anymore!
Kamen Rider Dream extended his hand, summoning the Dream Blade, a weapon forged from the essence of pure dreams. The blade shimmered with an ethereal light as he prepared for battle.
Kamen Rider Dream: Let's see how you handle the power of dreams!
With a swift motion, Kamen Rider Dream charged, his movements fluid and agile, leaving a sparkling trail behind him as he moved. The Dream Eater met him head-on, its legs slashing through the air like deadly spears. Kamen Rider Dream parried each attack with his blade, sparks flying as metal clashed against chitin. The Dream Eater reared back, spewing a web of dark, sticky silk. Kamen Rider Dream rolled to the side, avoiding the trap, and countered with a powerful slash that cut through the webbing. The monster screeched in anger, its eyes burning with a malevolent glow.
Kamen Rider Dream: This ends now!
Channeling his power, Kamen Rider Dream leaped high into the air, the hands on his belt seemed to spin, and sped him up, as time around him seemed to slow down a dialate. He came down like a meteor, with an explosive and colorful kick directly into the creature. It flung him back as Dream spun his blade in air and summed a large energy above him. He swung the sword down and brought the energy down like a hammer.
Kamen Rider Dream: NIGHTMARE SMASHER!
The energy collided with the Dream Eater and blew him up in the center of the parking lot. Talena stood back in shock, her camera rolling as she captured the fight in all of its glory. Kamen Rider Dream looked at the crater that the Dream Eater left, before turning to see Talena. She was stunned by his sudden turn, and equally stunned by his quick escape into the darkness of the night. As he ran, the unknown female watched him carefully.
Unknown Female: ...Nacht.
The next day, Johnny and Timmy were loading up the motorcycle, while the Motel Clerk tried in vain to tell the police that his nightmare controlled him and sent a giant spider monster after the guests.
Timmy: I had the weirdest dream last night Johnny.
Johnny: Oh yeah? You remember much about it?
Timmy: Not really, but I knew it was scary, and I think I saw a giant spider monster.
Johnny: Those aren't fun. I know from experience.
Timmy: Giant spider dreams?
Johnny: Giant spider something.
As Johnny helped Timmy pack, he looked over and saw someone standing over by the vending machines.
Johnny: Timmy, wait right here. I'm going to get us a snack.
Johnny walked over as Nacht grabbed a soda from the machine.
Johnny: Caffeine huh? You look tired. You sure you want to drink that?
Nacht: It's best if I stay awake.
Johnny: I see. I uh…I know what you are.
Nacht: Pardon?
Johnny: The belt…the transformation.
Nacht: …Perceptive.
Johnny: I was a Detective in a previous life. Don't worry, I won't make a scene about it. I just wanted to say thank you. I just got my brother back, and you saved him when I couldn't.
Nacht: You love your brother. Take good care of him.
Nacht pat Johnny on the back and began walking down the road.
Johnny: Heh…I'll see you down the road….Kamen Rider.
In her news van, Talena was getting shouted at over the phone by her boss.
Talena: Boss! Boss! I know you're mad! I know I "technically" took the van without permission, but I got it! I got the footage! You are going to go crazy when you see it! I will send it to you soon I promise!
Talena quickly hung up and put on the footage, but her smile turned to stunned shock, as the footage on the camera was pitch black, with only the sound playing.
Talena: I…I…left the cover on the lens?
Joe: That's why you brought me along for!
Talena: You were asleep! No! No no no! No! This can't be happening! *sigh* It's fine. It's fine! We're onto something here Joe! We're on the right path! This is only the beginning! I'm going to follow him! I'm going to find out more about him! I'm going to find you….Kamen Rider Dream.
Nacht made his way down the road, with his thumb out, hitching a ride to the next place he'd be needed…
To Be Continued…

Episode 2: Who Done It?
It was a quiet night, with a bus driving down the dimly lit highway. Various passengers were sitting on the bus, each lost in their own world. The bus passed through the dark forest, the only sound being the hum of the engine and the rustle of trees.
Bus Driver: Quiet night. Just the way I like it.
At the back of the bus, Nacht was fighting fatigue. His eyes were heavy, clearly fighting off sleep. He leaned against the window, the cool glass pressing against his cheek. Flashbacks of his recent battle with the Dream Eater replayed in his mind, adding to his exhaustion.
Nacht: Stay awake... gotta stay awake...
Despite his efforts, Nacht's eyes slowly closed, and he nodded off. He immediately tensed up and shifted in his seat, as the nightmares played in his mind once again. The building, the fire, and the screaming child.
Later, two hooded figures stood in the shadows at a bus stop, watching the bus as it approached.
Unknown Male: There he is. Our chance.
Unknown Female: Let him sleep.
Unknown Male: He'll have plenty of time to sleep when he's dead sister.
Unknown Female: ...
Unknown Male: Does that trouble you?
Unknown Female: ...No.
Unknown Male: It had better not. For what he knows, and what he's done, let's make this a nightmare he won't forget.
The two boarded the bus and moved stealthily toward the middle, unnoticed by the drowsy passengers. The lights suddenly blinked off in the bus as they subtly infected one of the passengers with a Dream Eater, who was having a horrible nightmare already.
Unknown Male: What a horrible nightmare he was having. So exquisite. It shall serve us well. The Dream Eater will do its job. He won't know who to trust.
The two got off the bus as it left the stop, completing their mission.
Nacht jolted awake, sensing something was wrong. He scanned the bus, noticing the various passengers. Most of them were sleeping or at the very least day dreaming, and for Nacht, that would be enough. He glanced his hand over his belt and closed his eyes. He had access, and he could see them through their dreams. The dreams made him smile as he learned a little more about them, including their names. Alice, a young woman with headphones, was lost in her music. Mr. Kim, an elderly man with a cane, was dozing off. Jenna, a teenager with a skateboard, was texting on her phone. Mrs. Martinez, a mother with her young child. Both were asleep. Officer Drake, a police officer, alert and watchful. Leo, a college student with a backpack full of books. Hannah, a businesswoman typing on her laptop. As he took comfort in their dreams, he suddenly shot his eyes open again.
Nacht: Something's not right... I can feel it.
Nacht's attention lingered on each passenger. He noticed the subtle details. The way Alice's music stopped abruptly, the slackening grip of Mr. Kim on his cane, and Jenna's phone falling from her hand. Mrs. Martinez's child stirred restlessly in her lap, sensing the danger.
Nacht: Stay awake, everyone! There's something dangerous happening!
Officer Drake: What? What are you talking about!? What's going on here? Everyone, stay calm!
In the news van not too far away from the bus, Joe drove an increasingly antsy Talena down the highway.
Joe: Look, it happens to the best of us. Well, that's not exactly true.
Talena: Hey! I was in a panic! I have never seen anything like that up close before!
Joe: I still haven't seen it. Sure you weren't a little tipsy and hallucinating?
Talena: Can it old timer! This is serious! I saw a giant spider-like monster burst out of the room, and then the guy that showed up to save the day, he looked like that guy I saw on television. The Faust guy. A full set of armor and a helmet, but this one had like a sleeveless jacket thingy too? It was so awesome, and very camera friendly
Joe: I'll have to take your word for it, considering you had the lens covered.
Talena: Grrr!
It was at that moment, they both noticed a commotion happening in the bus just ahead of them.
Talena: Are you seeing this?
Joe: I sure am.
Talena: Can you pull up beside them?
Joe: I sure can.
Back in the bus, Officer Drake tried to get Nacht to stop riling up the passengers.
Officer Drake: Sir, I need you to sit down, and I need everyone to be calm. Driver, will you please pull the bus over and-
Nacht: No! Don't pull it over!
Officer Drake: Sir! Calm down!
Nacht: If you pull it over, they will get out!
Officer Drake: Who will get out?
Nacht: The Dream Eater! I nodded off, and I guess they found me! I-
Officer Drake: The what?
Nacht: *sigh* It's too complicated to explain.
Officer Drake: You're going to have to try.
Nacht: I don't have time! Wait, I have an idea. Think of something.
Officer Drake: What?
Nacht: Think of something! A happy thought! A memory! A wish! Think of something!
Officer Drake: I don't know what-
Nacht: Got it! Thanks!
Officer Drake: Huh?
The officer was suddenly taken far away from the bus. He found himself engulfed in a warm, shimmering gold. He looked over to see his wife and baby daughter at home. The two were playing, while dinner was being cooked on the stove. The sight brought a smile and a tear to his eye, as Nacht appeared beside him.
Nacht: This is a wonderful daydream. Thank you for this.
Officer Drake: I was just thinking about my family back home.
Nacht: That's a daydream. That's more than enough.
Officer Drake: For what?
Nacht: For me to find you here. We have a little more time now. Time isn't flowing the same in your dreams. I can try and explain more of the situation, while you see an example at the same time. The way I just jumped into your dream, someone else was able to jump into someone's nightmare, someone on the bus, but they left something there. It's called a Dream Eater. It will control the one trapped in their nightmare, and use them to devour the energy of anyone else they can get to. They'll spread the nightmares around, and it can and will eventually kill anyone in its path.
Officer Drake: What? This is crazy!
Nacht: I need you to believe me! We don't have time for second guessing officer.
Officer Drake: …I guess I have no choice but to!
Nacht: Thank you.
They immediately snapped back to the bus, where seconds had ticked by while they spoke. The passengers all looked panicked, and the driver looked to be wanting to pull over.
Officer Drake: I changed my mind, driver! Keep us on the road!
The young woman Alice suddenly shot up.
Alice: What? No! Please can we pull over? I don't feel safe on this bus anymore.
Nacht: Is that-
Before Nacht could finish his thought, Mr. Kim forced himself to his feet.
Mr. Kim: I agree. We need to get off this bus! That man worries me!
Nacht: Me?
Officer Drake: I uh…I was mistaken about this man. He's trying to help us.
The college student Leo shot up next.
Leo: You just met the guy, and you were ready to pull a gun on him if he didn't sit down!
Officer Drake: Just listen to me alright! Everyone sit down! Driver, keep the bus on the road. We uh…we need to keep going for a bit. Just take a deep breath, all of you. We're fine.
Officer Drake pulled Nacht back to the back of the bus.
Officer Blake: How do we stop it?
Nacht: We need to find out who it's inside and remove it before it's too late. I can do that part, I just need you to help me with-
Suddenly the lights went out in the bus, as they drove through a tunnel. When they came back on, Hannah the businesswoman, was standing up arched in her seat, her eyes rolled into the back of her head. Jenna was sitting near her and panicked.
Jenna: Whoa! What is going on here?! What is she doing!? Hey! Lady! What are you doing!?
Officer Drake: What's happening?
Nacht: It's starting.
Outside of the bus, Talena's news van was able to pull beside it. Joe was driving nervously as Talena grabbed up his camera.
Joe: You need to be careful with that thing little lady. I'm sure I'm fired, but if we break the tech, they'll make me pay for it.
Talena: Hey, you were ready to retire anyways!
Joe: Not like this. Not like this at all. A nice little party and a gold watch would've been fine with me.
Talena: This is more exciting. Something is going down on this bus. Look at the panic in there. What is that woman doing? The way she's standing like that, arched back. That looks painful. I got the camera rolling, and I DO have the lens cap off. Let's see what I can get. Wait, I think I know that guy in the back.
Joe: Who? The cop?
Talena: No, the other one in the vest and tie. I saw him at the motel!
Nacht glanced over at the van beside them, but turned his attention back to the people.
Nacht: Everyone listen to me please. Don't panic.
Mr. Kim: How can we not panic! Look at her!
Nacht: She is going to be alright, and so are all of you, if you trust me. I know that's a tall order.
Jenna: You're not kidding!
Nacht: One of you isn't who they appear to be.
Mrs. Martinez: What do you mean?
Nacht: One of you is under the control of an entity.
Mr. Kim: Young man, what on Earth are you talking about?
Officer Drake: Listen to him!
Nacht: It can get you in your nightmares, but that's just the easiest way to do it. Negative daydreams, your imagination at work, thinking of the worst possible scenarios, that's another way it can seep in and feed on your energy. I need you all to clear your minds and stay awake. I can't have it feeding on too many of you, or it may be too powerful to handle.
Jenna: This is crazy!
Leo: So someone on here is a bad guy then? Who says it isn't one of you!? The guy with the gun or the mysterious stranger spouting a bunch of insane ji–
The lights blinked off again. This time, Nacht reached out for Leo, but by the time the lights came back on, he was surprised to find him completely fine. However, Mr. Kim standing arched like Hannah, his eyes rolled into the back of his head.
Leo: AH!
Nacht: Another one.
Officer Drake: Everyone stay calm!
Jenna: How can we!? Driver, please stop the bus!
Nacht: If you do, the Dream Eater gets out! I would normally enter the nightmare of Mr. Kim or Hannah, but if I do you'll be at the mercy of the Dream Eater.
Officer Drake: I'm sure that makes sense.
Nacht: Heh, not really, but it was never meant to. Rules that exist in a different dimension seem nonsensical I'm sure. I can go directly after the Dream Eater, but I have to be sure. I can pick one and only person. If I'm wrong, I won't have time to try again. It'll kill me, and then the rest of you, and then it'll walk off this bus to consume all it wants.
Officer Drake: So no pressure I suppose?
Nacht scanned around the bus. The driver would have pulled over or tried to escape by now. Everyone else was too panicked or acting too panicked for him to catch a glimpse of the Dream Eater's influence. It wasn't Officer Drake, or he would have noticed already from the dream state. Leo was belligerent earlier, and he was unharmed on the previous attack, but that could easily be a cover. He looked to Alice and Jenna, who both looked equally frightened, and Mrs. Martinez clutched at her baby daughter in fear.
Nacht: Wait. That's it! I got it!
As if on cue, the lights went out again, but this time, upon them coming back up Nacht had made his move, scooping up Mrs. Martinez's baby.
Mrs. Martinez: What?! NO! MY BABY! LET GO OF MY BA-
Officer Drake: Wait! Please mam, just wait a moment!
The baby was crying, but the crying quickly turned into thrashing, as a monstrous face appeared on the child's face.
Nacht: I've got you! Haha!
Officer Drake: Great! That's horrifying!
Nacht: Isn't it?!
Officer Drake: Now what?
Nacht: What?
Officer Drake: I said now what?
Nacht: I just need a moment!
Nacht revealed the belt around his waist, and hit a button at the top.
Belt: Doorway to a dream!
Nacht: Grab the baby!
Officer Drake: What?!
Nacht suddenly disappeared in a burst of light as the baby began to fall. Officer Drake quickly grabbed her up and looked around.
The baby was falling through an endless abyss, her tiny hands grasping at the air, eyes wide with fear. The twisted void around her shifted and morphed, filled with shadowy tendrils and whispering voices. Above her, a menacing figure appeared, a Bat Dream Eater, its wings stretching wide, eyes glowing with malevolent intent. The Bat Dream Eater swooped down, its claws reaching for the baby. Just as it was about to snatch her, a flash of light cut through the darkness. Nacht appeared, falling through the void toward them.
Nacht: Hang on, little one! I'm coming!
Nacht maneuvered through the void, dodging the Bat Dream Eater's attacks. The creature screeched, its wings flapping wildly as it lunged at him. Nacht summoned his Dream Blade, its ethereal glow illuminating the darkness.
Bat Dream Eater: You can't save her! This nightmare is mine!
Nacht: Not while I'm here!
The battle commenced mid-air, with Nacht delivering swift strikes to the Bat Dream Eater. The creature dodged and countered, its claws slashing through the air. As they fell, the void around them twisted and curved. Even darker obstructions clouded Nacht's vision. The Bat Dream Eater used these shadows to its advantage, disappearing and reappearing to attack.
Nacht: Enough of this!
Nacht focused his energy, his Dream Blade glowing brighter. He delivered a powerful slash, cutting through the shadows and revealing the Bat Dream Eater. The creature screeched in pain, its form flickering.
Nacht: Her nightmare is over! Your nightmare is just beginning!
Nacht reached over and grabbed the child. He began to glow as he pointed his hand at the Bat and enveloped it in golden light. It shrieked as the reality around them crumbled.
Talena couldn't believe what she was seeing on the camera. So much so she had to look up and make sure it was real. The two passengers who were arched over, snapped forward in a panic, and the small baby seemed to evict a dark shadow out of its mouth, ears, and eyes that reformed into a giant bat monster. In an instant it tore open the top of the bus and fly into the night.
Officer Drake: Whoa! It's out! Whatever that thing was is out!
Nacht: I have to go get it!
Officer Drake: How?
Nacht: I have my ways.
Officer Drake: I don't think I'm supposed to let you!
Nacht: What do you want to do?
Officer Drake: ...I want...to wish you luck.
Nacht: Heh. Thank you.
Nacht climbed out of the bus and onto the roof, out of sight of Talena's camera.
Talena: I think someone just followed that thing out! I couldn't see who!
Nacht turned the hands on his belt and posed.
Belt: Nacht into Dream!
Nacht: HENSHIN!
Kamen Rider Dream: Last time I take a bus!
He leaped off the top of the bus, soaring through the air towards the Bat Dream Eater. The creature screeched and dived, evading his initial attack. Kamen Rider Dream landed on the roof of a passing truck, using the momentum to launch himself back at the Bat Dream Eater.
Kamen Rider Dream: You're not getting away!
The Bat Dream Eater flapped its wings furiously, trying to outmaneuver Kamen Rider Dream. They clashed mid-air, exchanging blows. The Bat Dream Eater's claws scraped against Kamen Rider Dream's armor, while he countered with precise strikes from his Dream Blade.
The chase took them over the tops of cars and trucks, each leap a ballet of combat and acrobatics. Kamen Rider Dream jumped onto a moving car, using its roof as a springboard to propel himself higher. The Bat Dream Eater tried to dive bomb him, but he rolled aside, narrowly avoiding its attack.
Kamen Rider Dream: You're fast, but not fast enough!
He landed on a delivery van, its driver oblivious to the battle above. The Bat Dream Eater screeched again, summoning a swarm of smaller, bat-like creatures to distract Kamen Rider Dream. They swarmed around him, their tiny claws and teeth scratching at his armor.
Bat Dream Eater: I can picture you being dismembered right now!
Kamen Rider Dream: That's perfect! Dream Shift!
Bat Dream Eater: What?!
He activated his Dream Shift ability, phasing partially into the dream world, where he too saw the Bat Dream Eater laughing in glee as he was torn limb for limb. Dream shuddered as he stepped forward and shifted back out of his day dream. He closed the gap in less than a second and grabbed the Bat Dream Eater by the head, repeatedly ramming its face into his knee.
The Bat Dream Eater flapped its wings wildly, trying to gain altitude, but Kamen Rider Dream leaped onto a passing semi-truck, using its speed to launch himself even higher. He caught the Bat Dream Eater by surprise, grabbing its wing and pulling it down towards the highway.
Kamen Rider Dream: Time for your wake up call!
They tumbled through the air, the Bat Dream Eater struggling to break free. Kamen Rider Dream held on, guiding their fall towards a large, empty flatbed truck. They crashed onto it, the impact sending a shockwave through the vehicle. The Bat Dream Eater hissed, its form flickering as it tried to recover. Kamen Rider Dream stood up, his Dream Blade glowing with a radiant light. He charged at the Bat Dream Eater, delivering a series of powerful, glowing strikes. Each hit weakened the creature, its screeches growing more desperate. With a final, decisive blow, Kamen Rider Dream carved a circle above him, and brought the ensuing energy down onto the bat like a hammer.
Kamen Rider Dream: NIGHTMARE SMASHER!
The impact caused the Bat Dream Eater to explode in a blazing light as Dream turned away from it, his jacket whipping around in the process.
Kamen Rider Dream: No more nightmares, little one.
The bus eventually reached the crater left in the road and finally stopped. All the passengers got out and looked at it. Officer Drake had his side arm at the ready. As the passengers tried to grasp the situation, Drake looked through the flames and saw Dream standing across from him. One moment, decked out in his armor, but the flames licked up into the sky he powered down, and nodded to the officer before disappearing into the night.
Officer Drake: Heh. I think that was a Kamen Rider. So they are real. My wife's never going to believe this.
Mrs. Martinez: I'll make sure little Sophia here knows all about it when she's older. Thank you Kamen Rider.
As the news van pulled up, Talena was already on the phone with her boss.
Talena: Listen, I know what I said last time, but this time it's for real. I got footage, real footage of a monster, and a Kamen Rider! Yes, I saw one! An actual Kamen Rider! Yes, they're apparently real! The best part? I think I know who it is.

Episode 3: Chasing Dream
Talena's news van was parked by the side of the road, where the energetic reporter was preparing for her next segment. Joe, her cranky old cameraman, was setting up the equipment.
Talena: Alright, Joe! Are we ready to roll? Today, we’re chasing down the growing legend of the Kamen Rider!
Joe: Yeah, yeah. Just hold your horses, Talena. This camera’s older than you are, and it needs some love.
Talena: Oh, Joe, always so sentimental about your gear. We’ve got stories to uncover and people to interview!
Joe adjusted his cap and checked the camera one last time before giving Talena a nod.
Joe: Alright, kid. Let’s get this show on the road I suppose.
Talena hopped into the van, and Joe followed, carrying the camera. The van pulled away from the curb, heading towards their first destination, a cozy local café in a trendy tourist spot. Talena and Joe had been on the trail of their target based on different X's on a map. Talena and Joe stepped out, and Talena immediately spotted their first interviewee, a middle-aged woman named Mrs. Satoshi, sitting at a table outside.
Talena: There she is! There she is! *clears throat* Mrs. Satoshi, thank you for meeting with us!
Mrs. Satoshi: Uh, I'm happy to? I'm sorry are the reporter I'm supposed to be-
Joe: She is.
Talena: Sorry! Sorry! Talena Wood, Channel 5 news! Can you please tell us about your encounter with the Kamen Rider?
Mrs. Satoshi: Oh! Of course, dear. Call me Susan by the way! I'm really going to be on television?
Talena: Absolutely!
Mrs. Satoshi: Wow. Well alright, It was three days ago. I was closing up the café when this strange, shadowy creature appeared. It looked like it came straight out of a nightmare.
Joe positioned the camera, and Talena signaled for him to start recording.
Mrs. Satoshi: I was terrified. But then, out of nowhere, he appeared. He was so brave, facing the creature without a hint of fear. They fought right here, in front of the café.
Talena: Right here? I don't see any damage. I was expecting a crater.
Mrs. Satoshi: That happened down the road. There was no damage here, because it didn't really happen here.
Talena: Huh? I'm sorry, could you elaborate please?
Mrs. Satoshi: I said it was like it came straight out a nightmare, because it was a nightmare. I was trapped in my own nightmare. I fell asleep while cleaning up. He showed up and pulled me out of it, and he seemed to..."remove" it.
Talena: What did the creature look like? And how did the Kamen Rider defeat it?
Mrs. Satoshi: It was like a twisted version of a scorpion, with glowing red eyes and shadowy tendrils. He transformed into this magnificent suit of armor, like something I saw on television, and fought it off. He used this powerful kick, and then brought this bright light down on it. That's where you'll find the crater you're looking for. That's where he beat him.
Talena: That’s incredible! Thank you so much for sharing your story, Mrs. Satoshi. The Kamen Rider truly is a hero!
Joe finished recording, and they thanked Mrs. Thompson before heading back to the van.
Talena: Haha! I knew it! I knew this was a hot lead!
Joe: Hot lead? Kid, you've heard this story already, from the folks on the bus.
Talena: Yeah, but she confirmed what they said, and told us that the trail's not cold. She said it was three days ago, so we haven't lost him!
Joe: Him, this Kamen Rider fella, does he even have a name beyond that?
Talena: One of the young ladies on the bus. They heard a word that caught my attention. They called him Dream.
The next day, the van arrived at a park. Talena and Joe stepped out and approached a group of teenagers playing basketball. One of them, a boy named Alex, stepped forward eagerly.
Talena: Hi, Alex! We heard you had an encounter with Kamen Rider Dream. Can you tell us what happened?
Alex: Yeah, it was wild! Two days ago, we were just hanging out here when this weird, mantis-like creature showed up. It started chasing us, and we didn’t know what to do!
Joe set up the camera again, and Talena gestured for Alex to continue.
Alex: Just when we thought we were goners, this guy told us it was all a dream! He fought off the mantis thing and pulled us out of the nightmare! Some homeless guy was standing above us, but then the mantis thing appeared for real! That's when he turned into a Kamen Rider!. He was so cool, with this awesome armor and everything. He fought the creature with these amazing moves, flipping and kicking! It was awesome!
Talena: Wow, that sounds intense! How did he defeat the creature?
Alex: He kicked him, and then he waved a sword above his head like a circle, and brought it down like-
Talena: A hammer?
Alex: Yeah!
Talena: Big crater in the ground?
Alex: Uh-huh!
Talena: Kamen Rider Dream really knows how to put on a show. Thanks for sharing, Alex!
Talena skipped back to the van happily.
Joe: Kid, you're really getting into this story ain't ya?
Talena: How could I not? I mean we have such a huge story on our hands!
Joe: People love a good hero story, but people are having a hard time believing this Kamen Rider stuff unless they witness it firsthand, and even then they're skeptical.
Talena: People need heroes Joe, and we're going to give 'em one! It'll be GREAT for ratings!
Joe: Right.
Talena: We're catching back up to him! He's only a couple days ahead, and if he's passing through, there is a chance he's on foot, so we can make up some ground!
Joe: That's assuming he stays on the main highway here. He could be out in those woods for all we know.
Talena: Call it a hunch, but I think he's staying on the move for some reason. He never stays anywhere for too long. Also, I doubt he's been getting any sleep.
Joe: What makes you say that?
Talena: Well with how much we've been traveling, and considering what he's been up to, he wouldn't really have time for it. Plus, when I saw him at the motel he looked really tired.
Joe: Looking at him that closely were you? You didn't even know who he was then.
Talena: *blushing* Huh? What? Huh? I just noticed is all. Not something to make a big deal out of.
Joe: Uh-huh.
Talena: Hey! Focus on the story here! It's very important!
Joe: Trust me kid, I'm all eyes, all ears, and this camera will roll when it needs to. That's my job, been that way for thirty years.
Talena: That's what I like to hear! Now, I got a phone call from a guy at an amusement park, who said he saw Dream, so that's where I'd like to head next.
Joe: You got it.
The van arrived at an abandoned amusement park later that night. Talena and Joe stepped out and approached a security guard named Tom, who was patrolling the area.
Talena: Hi, Tom. We heard you had an encounter with Kamen Rider Dream. Can you tell us about it?
Tom: Tell you about it? Oh sure. Of course. Tell you about it. Absolutely. Yes, it was quite a night. I was doing my rounds when this shadowy creature appeared. It looked like a clown, but twisted and horrifying.
Joe set up the camera, and Talena gestured for Tom to continue.
Tom: The clown chased me...it's mouth unhinged, like it was going to consume me, and I don't remember what happened after that.
Talena: You don't? Think about it. Surely you'll remember. A man appeared and pulled you out of the nightmare? He transformed and defeated the clown? There should be a crater somewhere nearby.
Tom: Uh...no? No, I don't think so. In fact, I'm pretty sure...the clown killed him.
Talena: Excuse me?
Tom: Maybe not dead, but dying, just like you're going to be.
Talena: What?
Joe: Now just wait one minute you-
Tom suddenly grabbed up Joe and tossed him through a nearby fence. He then grabbed Talena by the throat and dragged her inside of the abandoned amusement park.
Talena: Hey! Stop! Let go of me!
Tom: You wanted the story. They wanted you to get an exclusive one-on-one interview.
Talena: Who? Who wanted it?
Tom: The Nightmelions. You're digging too deeply into their matters. You wanted to know, you get to know first ha-
Tom attempted to pull Talena into a dream state, when suddenly a figure jumped off the top of a nearby concession stand and landed a kick to his back.
Talena: Huh?
Nacht: Ouch! Sorry Tom, that's really going to hurt, but I had no choice. The Dream Eater wasn't looking to feed, he was going in for the kill.
Talena: The kill? Excuse me!? It's you! It's YOU!
Nacht: You're the one that's been following me?
Talena: You noticed that?
Nacht: Was I not supposed to?
Talena: Uh…
Tom: How did you escape?
Nacht: A little fall off a roller coaster barrelling at high speeds? Luckily the pool was still full. Now, are you going to leave that sleeping security guard, or am I going to have to rip you out of there.
Tom: I don't have time for this. They wanted her dealt with. I have a job to do!
The Dream Eater possessed Tom stuck his hand out and an octopus-like tentacle burst out and smashed into Nacht, sending him tumbling. With his other hand he formed another tentacle that wrapped around Talena and dragged her into the nearby house of mirrors. Nacht got up quickly and followed in pursuit. He entered the dark, eerie fun house filled with distorted mirrors that reflected a twisted reality. The only sound was the echo of footsteps. The mirrors created a labyrinth of reflections, making it difficult to discern the real from the illusory. Talena, the energetic reporter, was bound in the center of the fun house.
Tom: You really shouldn't have come here, little reporter. Now, you're going to be part of the nightmare. You may not be asleep, but at times your reality can become just as frightening as any nightmare.
The world seemed to twist and distort around Talena, as the hallway of mirrors stretched on and wrapped around her. She quickly covered her eyes and backed away.
Tom: Hehehe.
Nacht made his way through the fun house, keeping his eyes out for any sight of the Dream Eater. The tentacles of the creature would reach out of mirrors and tap him on the shoulder, throwing him off, and making him lose his sense of direction.
Nacht: Give it up Dream Eater! Let the man and the woman go now!
Tom: Why would I do that, when I have the upper….hand?
Another tentacle reached through a mirror and pushed Nacht to the ground. He found himself enclosed in a circle of mirrors as he heard laughter from all around.
Tom: They're very disappointed in you, you know?
Nacht: I don't care. The feeling is mutual. If they're listening, I want them to stop sending Dream Eaters immediately! They're not going to find what they're looking for! Where are you!
Tom: I'm right here, or am I over here?
Nacht looked around, but only saw fleeting glimpses of the Dream Eater, his true form barely visible as an afterimage of sorts as the security guard eluded Nacht. They laughed as the mirrors seemed to close in around him. He was confused, but alert, waiting for the Dream Eater to strike. However, his attention was taken by a scared Talena yelling out.
Talena: DREAM! HELP ME!
Nacht: …That's enough of this game.
Belt: Nacht into Dream.
Nacht: HENSHIN!
Nacht transformed into Kamen Rider Dream, the energy of said transformation shattered the illusions created by the Dream Eater, as well as the mirrors themselves. Talena covered her head as the glass flew all over, but she looked up to see Dream protecting her from the pieces.
Talena: Dream, it's you!
Kamen Rider Dream: Stay back, it's dangerous for you to be here.
Talena: I think…I'm going to pass out.
Kamen Rider Dream: Hang in there!
Talena passed out from the shock, as the Dream Eater suddenly saw opportunity.
Tom: Is she important to you? She's asleep now! I know just what I want to do!
The Octopus Dream Eater burst out of Tom, leaving him lying prone on the ground, as it looked to inhabit Talena. Dream summoned his Dream Blade just in time to strike the Octopus Dream Eater and block his attempt to enter her dreams.
Kamen Rider Dream: Come out, Dream Eater! Your nightmares end tonight!
A low, menacing growl echoed through the fun house. Suddenly, the Octopus Dream Eater emerged from the shadows, its tentacles slithering over the broken mirrors.
Octopus Dream Eater: Kamen Rider Dream... you dare to fight against powers beyond your control?
Kamen Rider Dream: I dare, and I will defeat you!
The Octopus Dream Eater lunged forward, its tentacles whipping through the air. Kamen Rider Dream rolled to the side, dodging the attack. He sprang to his feet, his fists glowing with energy.
Kamen Rider Dream: Dream Punch!
He launched a powerful punch at the creature, but the Dream Eater deflects it with one of its tentacles. The impact sends shards of glass flying, reflecting light in all directions.
Octopus Dream Eater: You are no match for me, Rider. I come from the realm of nightmares!
The Dream Eater struck again, its tentacles sweeping across the floor. Kamen Rider Dream leaped into the air, avoiding the attack. He landed on a platform, using the height to his advantage.
Kamen Rider Dream: I've got a nightmare for you!
He jumped down, delivering a flying kick to one of the Dream Eater's tentacles. The monster recoils, shrieking in pain. Kamen Rider Dream follows up with a series of rapid punches and kicks, each strike glowing with dream energy.
Octopus Dream Eater: Enough!
The Dream Eater wrapped several tentacles around Kamen Rider Dream, lifting him into the air and slamming him into the ground. Kamen Rider Dream struggled, his armor cracking under the pressure.
Kamen Rider Dream: That all you've got?
Drawing on his inner strength, Kamen Rider Dream channeled his energy, causing his entire body to glow with a radiant light. He broke free from the tentacles and somersaulted backwards, landing gracefully.
Kamen Rider Dream: It's time to end this!
He posed on the platform and slapped his boot, before jumping into the air, his boot glowing with the same energy from his fists and the Dream Blade.
Kamen Rider Dream: Dream Rider Kick!
He launched himself into the air, his leg extended. The energy around him intensified, forming a vortex of light. He descends with incredible speed, aiming directly at the Octopus Dream Eater's core.
Octopus Dream Eater: Nooooo!
The kick connected, and the impact created a massive explosion of light. The Octopus Dream Eater writhed in agony as the energy tore through its body. Dream then summoned the Dream Blade once again and swirled it above his head, summoning up the Dream energy needed for his final attack.
Kamen Rider Dream: NIGHTMARE SMASHER!
Dream powered down and ran over to help up Talena, who was still woozy from all the shock and excitement.
Nacht: Are you alright?
Talena: Not very becoming of a reporter to pass out in the middle of a story.
Nacht: This story is too dangerous for you. It's best if you stay away.
Talena: I can't. You're a hero. People need to know about it.
Nacht: I don't need people to know about me miss. I just want to fade away from memory, like a nice dream you can't quite remember. The point is, they are safe. That's all that matters.
Talena: Well you're too good to be true. Who are you really? Please, tell me more about you.
Nacht: I can't. It's not safe for you to know. In fact, I'm very sorry, but I need to take action for your own good. I need you to think of a nice thought. Just imagine anything that would be nice right about now.
Talena: Wha- I don't-
Nacht: Got it.
Nacht entered the day dream of Talena, to find himself in that very spot, seeing himself holding Talena, but in a more passionate way, slowly brushing the hair from her face.
Nacht: What? I'm not even going to try and wrap my head around this one, daydreaming about this warzone. The point is, I need to make her forget me. She can't remember what I look like.
He touched his dream reflection and the image became blurry.
Nacht: Better. Now, to get her to stop pursuing-
Nacht tried to touch the reflection of Talena, but he was suddenly blown back by a powerful blast of light.
Nacht: What?! What is that!? What….what are you? WHO are you? I don't-
Talena snapped out of her daydream to find herself alone.
Talena: Wait! Dream! Come back! I just saw you here! I think…I think I did. Why can't I remember? Why can't I remember what you look like? Dream? Dream!
The next day Talena was packing her things in the news van, as a weary and confused security guard Tom hobbled away. Joe limped his way over to Talena with his arm in a sling.
Joe: Kiddo, I think this is the end of the line for me holding a camera.
Talena: What? No! You can't give up on me now! We just witnessed an attack firsthand! This is huge news!
Joe: All of our footage is damaged, and I can't hold a camera anymore.
Talena: Oh Joe, I'm so sorry that-
Joe: Don't you apologize, not for a second. Look, I think I can drive. If you could hold the camera, I'll stick by ya on this story. Retirement is sounding more and more boring after all of this excitement.
Talena: You don't mean that.
Joe: …Alright, so maybe I'd rather be fishing, but that's not important right now. This is a chance for your big break, covering one of these Kamen Riders. I want to be there to see it through.
Talena: Thank you Joe. That means a lot. I just don't know how I can report AND hold the-
?: Excuse me?
Talena: Huh?
A very familiar looking man ran up to Talena and Joe, wearing a bright red hat and jacket.
Talena: Yes? Who are you?
Nacht: The name is Nick, and I'm your new cameraman!
