*The show opens with an excellent video package showcasing the highlights from the ~WOMENS ATHLETES~ show of SHIMMER, to the opening theme song "Glow" by Nelly Furtado. The opening pyro goes off and the opening match is set to begin, Gail Kim taking on Shantelle Taylor.*
1.) The two ladies circle and immediately lock-up, with Gail putting Shantelle in a standing headlock. She wrenches it in for a moment, but taking her down with headlock takedown, while keeping the headlock on. The submission expert, Gail Kim, quickly switches from the headlock, to a sleeper hold, continuing to wear down Shantelle more. Shantelle fights back to her, and reverse the hold into a hammerlock. Gail Kim struggles, and tries to snapmare Shantelle. Shantelle blocks it and throw Gail Kim onto her backside. Gail Kim gets up and they trade armdrags, with Shantelle winning the exchange. Gail Kim gets aggravated by this, and charges Shantelle, which cause her to eat a nice leg lariat instead. Shantelle covers for a 2 count. Shantelle then quickly locks Gail Kim in a figure-four headlock.. Gail Kim struggles to get to the ropes, but Shantelle drags her back to the center. Gail Kim reverses Shantelle to her stomach side, fights free, and locks the grounded headlock on her again. Shantelle again fights to her feet and elbows Kim in the midsection. She runs into the ropes, but Gail Kim catches her with a hurricanrana. The ref counts 1....2....Shatelle reverses it into cradle of her own, 1....2....3!! Shantelle Taylor has scored the upset victory over the submission expert, Gail Kim.
*Gail Kim is in shock, but accepts the defeat well. She then extends the hand to Taylor, who accepts it. They shake hands and bow to each other in respect. Gail Kim then leaves and lets Shantelle then celebrates her big victory.
Backstage we see Sherri Martel is in her office, talking to somebody on her cellphone, while looking over watch looks like a contract. There's a knock on the door, and Martel tells them to come in. Martel looks up and tells the person she'll call them back a little later. She looks up and it's a Chicago police officer. She gets up and shakes hands with him. The officer tells her, Caged Heat is here as part of the agreement reached. Martel smiles and says "That's good news" and then tells him to just be ready for their match later on. He nods his head and says "Will do". She smiles and says she'll see him later in the ring then. They shake hands and the scene ends there.
Alere Little Feather then came out with Kei Akiyama, she then told the Diva Killerz to come out so they settle the score that wasn't finished at the last chapter. "Volcano Girls" by Veruca Salt began to played and Kayla Sparkz and her tag partner, Miss DeVille came out. Kayla Sparkz enters the ring and the match started....*
2.) ALF and Kayla Sparkz had a staredown to start things, that is before ALF slapped her across the face! Sparkz responded with one of her own. They slapped each other for a moment, before ALF lit her up with hard knife edge chops. She threw her into the ropes and went for the End of the Trail (Samoan Drop) early, but Kayla escaped and landing on her feet. Kayla Sparkz then snap suplexed her and went to work with standard joshi wrestling holds. They traded them, with Kayla Sparkz working ALF's neck area. ALF fought back though, and mounted the top rope. Kayla Sparkz followed her up there, looking to superplex her off. ALF fought back again, and knocked her back to the canvas. She signaled for and nailed Kayla Sparkz with the Trail Dust (Diamond Dust)!! She immediately covered and ref counted 1....2....THR-NOO!! Sparkz kicks out at the last moment! This kick out sent ALF on the war path, and wanting Sparkz to rise up. When she did, she was met with a barrage of Indian armdrags and more hard knife edge chops. She mounted the top rope again and waited, perched for the Tomahawk Chop of Death (Flying Overhead Chop to the Head). She went for it all, but Kayla Sparkz countered with a nice dropkick to ALF's midsection, in mid-air! Sparkz went to the top rope and waited for her moment now. She nailed her perfectly, drilling ALF with a beautiful Sparkz Will Fly (Tornado DDT)! She covered, hooking the leg, for a hot 2.9 count!! Sparkz then measured the staggering ALF and finished her off with the Sparkling Magic (Trouble In Paradise). She covered, while Miss DeVille held ALF's foot on the outside, for the three count victory.
*Thanks to the blatant interference, Kayla Sparkz beat ALF. ALF and Kei Akiyama were obviously upset too, being screwed over. Kayla Sparkz saw the footage for herself and was unhappy as well. Kayla took the mic from ringside and said that's not how she wants the victory tonight. She then demanded the match to be restarted. Referee "Slick" Mark Johnson was about to restart it, when he got word on his headset. He then told the ladies the decision will now stand, and that there was no time to restart anything tonight. All four ladies then just looked at each other, like "WTF?!" in the ring, as he left.
Backstage, we see the cops leading Caged Heat from their guarded locker room, to the ring. In orange prison clothes, handcuffs, and chains no less. The grudge tag match is next....*
3.) This match went smoothly, until Sherri Martel tried to tag in Lelani Kai. Kai then just jumped off the apron and walked back up the ramp. This left Martel to the wolves, so we thought, cause as they went to give Martel some Capital Punishment, the four police entered the ring and attacked Cage Heat. This caused the match to end in a no contest.
*Martel told the police to arrest Caged Heat and take them back to prison, until the next SHIMMER show. Martel then left the ring, seemingly very upset over what just went down with her, Kai, and Caged Heat.
Molly Holly was backstage with Christy Hemme. Holly told Hemme, Christie Ricci made a mistake of attacking her during the Gauntlet For The Gold match. Tonight, Ricci will is going down, and she will prove size doesn't matter.
A replay of Ricci/Holly incident from Chapter One was shown, and the match got underway.*
4.) Molly Holly and Christie Ricci battled in heated match of speed vs size. Ricci have Molly a good run for her money, nearly pinning her, when she caught her with Powerbomb. She her size and power was shown with a nice Hanging Vertical Suplex as well. Molly Holly came back, but was caught with a Running Powerslam by Ricci. She then nailed Holly with the Axe Bomber for another heated nearfall. She would go for the Torture Rack late in the match, and Molly Holly reversed it into a rolling prawn hold and grabbed the ropes for leverage, taking the victory.
*Molly Holly quickly left, as an upset Ricci was in the ring, unhappy with the finish. Molly Holly pointed to her head, saying she's just too smart for big, dumb, Ricci. Ricci was obviously furious at the comments.
Backstage the referees handed out Dominatrix Whips to the roster, for the Lumberjill match, which is next....*
5.) Shaniqua and Taylor Matheny engaged in a rather unique match, involving Lumberjills and dominatrix whips, which are also Shaniqua's weapon of choice. Matheny has felt the bite of it as well. Taylor immediately charged the ring and speared Shaniqua and started pounding the crap out of her. Shaniqua showed nice strength and tossed her off, causing her to fall to the outside. The Lumberjills immediately started whipping Taylor. Matheny fought back, took one of the whips, and reentered the ring. Shaniqua begged off, and a masked Lumberjill handed her a whip to her. The two fought with the whips like swords. Taylor when low and whipped Shaniqua in her midsection. She then unloaded shot after shot mercilessly into Shaniqua's back. She covered and Shaniqua powered out at 2 still. She measured her for a Tay-Lariat (Lariat), but Shaniqua countered but whipping her in the arm. She then nailed her with the Black Russian Legsweep (Russian Legsweep with the Dominatrix Whip). She covered for a 2 count of her own. She then locked Taylor in the Black Out (Sleeper Hold). Taylor struggled and eventually almost had the ropes, but the masked Lumberjill pulled the ropes away from her. Taylor eventually broke it though, by grabbing them. Shaniqua stalked her and went for the Powerbomb, but Taylor rained down shots on her in mid-move. Taylor escaped and landed on her feet as Shaniqua was now dazed. Taylor took her down with a single leg and locked her in an STF (Stepover Toehold Facelock). Shaniqua would've tap out, but the masked Lumberjill entered the ring, picked up one of the dominatrix whips, and hit Taylor right in the back of head with it, KOing her outright. Shaniqua then made the cover and the ref counted the three, giving her the victory as the masked Lumberjill looked on.
*After the match, the masked Lumberjill removed her masked to reveal it was NIDIA all along!! Shaniqua and Nidia then hugged each other, and raised each others arms over the fallen Taylor Matheny. The two then left together in unison as the scene faded to the back.
In the back, Sherri Martel is on her cellphone again. She then smiles and says "You mean it's now official?!" Martel listens for a moment, then goes "YES!" as she hangs up the phone. She then looks at the contract, kisses it, and smiles as the scene fades out.
A recap video of the Gauntlet For The Gold was then shown with Ayako Hamada winning it and the SHIMMER World Title with help from her allies, Rain and Christy Hemme.
"El Cubo" by CALO then play and Ayako Hamada walks out and shows off her belt. She sits down at the announcers booth, to watch the next match, which is the Number One Contenders 3-Way Dance.*
6.) Mercedes Martinez, Rebecca Knox, and Lexie Fyfe face each other with one goal in mind, becoming the #1 Contender to Ayako Hamada's SHIMMER World Title. Martinez and Knox showed good team work and tried to eliminate Fyfe early on. It would take a barrage of high impact moves to do it though, as Lexie Fyfe went for a lariat on Rebecca Knox, she countered with a Bexploder (Exploder Suplex). But Lexie Fyfe got up and Rebecca Knox did it one more time. Fyfe still got up, showing excellent fighting spirit, but took a third Bexploder from Knox. Mercedes then crushed her with the Frog Splash, and both did a double pin for the elimination. Martinez and Knox then squared to see who gets the right to face the champion next. The engaged in what seemed like a good technical match, ending with Knox nailing Mercedes with the Hard Knox (Falcon Arrow). NOBODY KICKS OUT OF THE FALCON ARROW! But Mercedes Martinez grab the ropes at 2.99 instead! Knox was in shock and could not believe it. Knox yelled out in rage as she had now completely lost it! She then rolled to outside and pulled her shillelagh out from under the ring. Knox went to hit Mercedes with it, but the ref stopped her. The two argued and Mercedes rolled her up from behind, grabbing the tights. The ref counted the 3 for the victory.
*Mercedes wins with a little bit of cheating, but the fans loved it no matter what. Knox argued with the ref, but he refused to reverse the decision, so she gave him a brutal Bexploder. She then picked up her shillelagh, pointing at Martinez, saying she'll pay in the future as she left the ring.
Mercedes Martinez shrugged her shoulders and turned her attention to Ayako Hamada at ringside. She then pointed to the belt and motioned it would be hers soon. Ayako stood up with her belt, and entered the ring. Before they could come to blows....
"Pomp and Circumstances" by Edward Elgar began to play and Sherri Martel appeared with a mic and the contract from earlier. She told both ladies to waste their energy now, because she has an announcement that concerns them. She said this very contract was just made official by the AWA Owner & CEO, Linda McMahon. This contract states that tomorrow night, live on PPV at AWA SUPERSLAM 2006, it will Ayako Hamada defending her SHIMMER World Championship against the new Top Contender, whom happens to be, Mercedes Martinez!! And to ensure she gets fair title shot, Rain and Christy Hemme are banned from ringside, as well. So good luck to both ladies, especially Ayako.
The two ladies then had a nose-to-nose staredown with Ayako Hamada raising the title belt above both their heads as the show ended on that note.*

SHIMMER World Title Match added to AWA SUPERSLAM 2006!
As stated by SHIMMER General Manager, Sherri Martel, at ~ELECTRIC BOOGALOO~, Ayako Hamada will now be defending the SHIMMER World Championship against Mercedes Martinez at AWA SUPERSLAM 2006!
LATE BREAKING NEWS! DON CALLIS WALKS OUT OF THE AWA!
Even with AWA SUPERSLAM 2006 tomorrow night, Don Callis has walked out of the AWA. Citing his frustrations with the incompetent egomania of the AWA General Manager, Ric Flair, as being the main reason as well. What this means for color commentary on the pay per view and in the future is up in the air now. But Joey Styles says he ready, willing, and able to call the shows by himself going forward as he has done numerous times in the past while working for Extreme Championship Wrestling.
Without that said, here is the finalized card for tomorrow night's PPV, AWA SUPERSLAM 2006, LIVE! from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin!!

*The broadcast kicks off with Joey Styles in the ring, by himself. Joey Styles welcomes everybody to second PPV of the AWA era, and the crowd cheers widly. Tonight, LIVE! from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin….the AWA presents....SUPERSLAM 2006!! Joey Styles restates that fact that Don Callis has walked out the AWA, prior to the PPV tonight. The crowd boos this loudly. Joey Styles tells them not to worry, cause he's called PPV alone before and he's pretty damn good at it. The crowd cheers and chants "JOEY! JOEY! JOEY!" Joey Styles then says he has his hands full though, cause tonight a new AWA World Champion will be crowned, but the big question is whom will it be?! Style says he can't wait to find out, so let's cut the monkey business already and get right down to the ACTION!!
The awesome opening video package now plays as the theme song "Foxy, Foxy" by Rob Zombie plays in the background. It highlights all the matches, but mostly show all three ladies who fight for the AWA World Championship in the main event. It ends with a triple shot of all three of them, with the title in the background.
The action really did get started in a big, in fact the opening pyro didn't even have a chance to go off as Lita and Jazz have already started brawling in the backstage area, beginning the Falls Count Anywhere Match!!*
1.) The two ladies brawled in the backstage like it was second nature to them. Jazz tossed Lita onto a table of snacks and refreshments. She then got on top of it, and piledrove her through the table! Jazz covered and Lita kicked out at two. Lita tried to crawl away, but Jazz grabbed her by the hair. Lita picked out a glass of cola and threw it in Jazz's face, blinding her. Lita then threw her face first, through the popcorn machine's glass window. Lita then shoved Jazz's now bloody face into popcorn, trying to smothering her. Jazz elbowed free, and spat the popcorn out, choking on it. She then dragged Lita, by hair, in the backstage area. She then tossed her into a stack of boxes and god knows what else. Jazz covered the prone Lita for another nearfall. Jazz then tried to lock Lita in her STF, but Lita grabbed a pipe and hit her in the head to break the hold. Lita covered for a nearfall as well. The two eventually fought their way onto the arena staging area. The two fought on it, Lita went for the Lita Effect DDT (Evenflow DDT), but Jazz backdropped Lita out of it. Jazz stalked the prone Lita, and then locked her in the Bitch Clamp (Elevated Double Chicken Wing)! Jazz carried Lita to edge of the stage and tried to toss Lita off it! But Lita countered in mid-air and Lita Effect DDTed herself and Jazz off it, sending both ladies crashing through two tables!! OH MY GOD!! The crowd chanted "Holy Sh*t!" in response to the carnage as well. As both women laid in a heap, Jazz was lying on top of Lita, so the ref counted 1....2....3!! Jazz has won and survived the Falls Count Anywhere Match, due to a tactical error by Lita.
*As the EMTs checked on both ladies, Joey Styles, restated that fact that he was actually glad to be rid of that filth, Don Callis, and would rather call the PPV by himself anyway. So let's get back to action in the ring....
Rain made her way down to the ring, along with Christy Hemme. Rain said it was time for Sara Del Ray to lose again, so let's get this over quickly. Lights went out in the arena, and "Final Countdown" by Europe began to play over the loud speakers. SDR walked out, with the American Flag draped over herself. She then marched down to the ring, entered, and posed on the turnbuckles, with the flag. The training with Mariko Yoshida is apparently complete and Sara Del Ray is now ready and focused again.*
2.) Rain did not see this coming at all, as SDR beat her down with elbows and chops in the corner. She executed and nice delayed double armed suplex for a nearfall. Rain made a comeback thanks to Hemme being at ringside. Hell, SDR caught Rain in the Arms Across America (Cattle Mutilation), but Hemme got on the apron and distracted the ref. SDR released the hold and tried to attack Hemme. Rain came up from behind and went for the Acid Rain Drop, but SDR elbowed free and whipped her into Hemme. Hemme went crashing to the floor as Rain staggered back into the open arms of SDR. SDR then killed her with the Death Ray (Jump Spike Piledriver) for the decisive victory.
*SDR then posed for the crowd on the turnbuckles, over the fallen bodies of Rain in the ring and Hemme at ringside.
Backstage, the AWA Television Champion, Mariko Yoshida, looked on and smiled happily. Maria Kanellis now comes up and asks her how she felt about the victory. Yoshida said "Impressive. Most Impressive." Maria then asked about the her defense tonight against Melissa and Victoria, and what she will do. Mariko just smirked and said "Win." then left the room.
Maria then turned around and bump into her own opponent tonight....KAORU, who was flanked by Toshie Uematsu and Ran YuYu. KAORU said she hopes Maria has prepared for their match, cause it's gonna be her last. Maria tried to answer, but KAORU just slapped her across the face. Maria then held her face on the floor, and just looked very nervous. The three then left her to her misery as Uematsu laughed in her face as the scene faded to a close.
Allison Danger was also backstage, and cut a promo saying she had her mystery partner ready, whom she is happy to be teaming with, and just as hardcore as they come too. And together tonight....they will crush LuFisto and Sumie Sakai.
LuFisto and Sumie Sakai made their way down to the ring and seemed prepared for anybody. Allison Danger then came out and introduced her mystery partner, who turned out to be…….MICKIE KNUCKLES!!*
3.) The match went smoothly, but it eventually broke down into what everybody knew it would break down into.....a 4-way street brawl!! All four ladies destroying one another on the outside of the ring. The referee eventually stepped in and through the match out completely.
*Backstage the ladies continued the brawl, before being separated by security, this thing is far from over it seems.
Also backstage, we see Daizee Haze and Alexis Laree talking to Maria. Haze tells her not worry, cause they got Ric Flair agree to the stipulation for their Hardcore Tornado Tag Match against Toshie Uematsu and Ran YuYu for reason. Cause the winner of that match will now be able to choose the stipulation for their partner's match later that night. Meaning when they win, KAORU will forced into match she can't win againist Maria. Maria smiled and said "Really" Haze smiled back and said "Really?!" Haze then turned Laree and asked her "You ready to handle business?" Alexis nodded and the two then left for the tag match.
Toshie Uematsu and Ran YuYu walked down to the ring for their Hardcore Tornado Tag Match, Uematsu, carrying the ever dangerous black box. Toshie then began to rant about how Daizee Haze and Alexis Laree were gonna lose this match, cause they can't be them in this environment. Then their stupid friend Maria Kanelis will pay a very big price. A price in her own damn BLOOD!! Daizee Haze and Alexis Laree had heard enough and came out. Haze and Laree charged the ring, and immediately attacked both of them.*
4.) Haze and Laree fought with a fire never seen by them tonight, with their friends very life in their hands. It seems they are motivated big time, by this fact. Uematsu nailed Laree with the black box, Ran YuYu killed her with the Twister (Spinning Brainbuster). Haze barely made the save at 2.9, knowing the what was at stake tonight. Uematsu worked over the now bleeding Laree, throttling her with sleeper hold. Laree fought back and back suplexed her. Haze fought with Ran YuYu on the outside, the fight spilling near the spanish announce table. Haze slammed Ran YuYu's head off it and rolled her onto the table. Hazw signaled for the end, went for the Mind Trip (LA Knight’s Blunt Force Trauma), but Ran YuYu blocked, and went for a Twister. Haze landed behind her and then drove Ran YuYu through the table with the Love Gun (Cobra Clutch Slam)!! Haze refused to cover the KOed Ran YuYu, and went into the ring. Toshie was now trapped between two motivated and dangerous divas. The two ladies now teed off on Toshie with elbows and punches. Haze then Sweet Shin Music (Superkick to the legs) her and Laree killed with the Laree-DT (Jump Spike DDT) onto Uematsu's own black box. Laree then covered her, for the academic three count, as Ran YuYu barely missed the save. Haze and Laree were dominating tonight, like never before.
*Haze then got the mic and told both ladies, this is what happens when you mess with a peace loving hippie's friend. Laree nodded her head in agreement. Haze said she already knows the match that KAORU will face Maria in. Laree was already beginning to laugh hysterically, as Haze announce the match as a BRA AND PANTIES MATCH!! The crowd began cheer wildly as a result
Backstage KAORU was shown with a mixed look of horror, anger, and absolute disgust. KAORU then began to yell out “FUUUUUU..” as the scene cut to close quickly.
Joey Styles said that comes later, but now a more serious matter at hand....coming up next is the SHIMMER World Championship, with Ayako Hamada making her V1 defense against Mercedes Martinez.
An excellent video package then aired highlighting everything leading up to this all important title match.
"Cat’s Eye" by Anri began play over the loud speakers, and SHIMMER's own Takako Inoue walked down to ringside. She then picked up the headset next to confused Joey Styles. Inoue told him that she's out here to do a little color commentary, since Styles didn't seem have a broadcast partner and more importantly, this being a title match for SHIMMER's top championship. Joey Styles just shrugged his shoulders, was glad to have Inoue at ringside with him. "Mercedes" by Puhbare began play and the challenger, Mercedes Martinez, then made her down the ring looking very confident that she will take home the belt tonight. "El Cubo" by CALO then played over the PA System and the SHIMMER World Champion, Ayako Hamada, made her way down to the ring. She briefly stopped at the announcer's table, and taunted Takako Inoue with belt. Inoue got up, but Joey Style calmed her back down, reminded her that she's retired and it's not worth losing her job over. Inoue nodded in agreement and sat back down reluctantly, but the mutual hatred between the two is obviously there. And finally the SHIMMER ring announcer, Bobby Cruise, then made his ring introductions and SHIMMER's head referee, Nick Patrick, showed the belt to both ladies and the crowd. The bell sounded and match began....*
5.) Mercedes Martinez and Ayako Hamada engaged in very high-impact, hard hitting, see-saw like match. They traded chops and elbows to each other in the center of the ring and corners, trying wearing each other out. Mercedes got the better of the battle in the corner and nailed Hamada with a nice Tornado DDT for a near fall. Mercedes brought match down to a mat based wrestling, trying wear down Hamada's head and neck. Mercedes went for the Frog Splash early on, perhaps too over confident, as Hamada countered by hitting her with a jumping shotei in the corner. She then nailed her with Ayakoclasm (Iconoclasm). Ayako went for the kill with the Super Quebrada (Tope Rope Springboard Lionsault), but found only Mercedes' knees instead. Mercedes stalked Hamada and nailed her with the Double-Arm DDT and locked Ayako in the Butterfly Lock. Ayako fought for a long time, before rolling into the ropes for a break. Mercedes almost didn't break it, wanting to wear out Hamada more. Mercedes signaled for the end and nailed her with a vertical suplex, then a second one, she went for the Tres Amigas trifecta, but Ayako slipped out behind her. Ayako then shoved Mercedes unintentionally into the referee in attempt to break the hold. The ref and Mercedes clonked heads, sending PJ to the outside. Ayako then killed the stunned Mercedes with her Jump Spin Kick (Jumping Reverse Roundhouse Kick to the head). Ayako rolled the outside not done with Mercedes quite yet, and grabbed the title belt. She dropped it on the mat and signaled for the end. She went for a Liger Bomb onto the belt, but Mercedes countered with a DDT onto it. Mercedes then tossed the belt outside, and went to the top rope for the Frog Splash. That's when the difference maker appeared in the form of REBECCA KNOX! Knox jumped on the apron and KOed Mercedes with a shillelagh shot right to the back of her head. Knox then retreated back into the crowd as Mercedes fell off the top rope and into the ring. Ayako Hamada then crawled over and made the cover as the referee finally reentered to make the count of three for victory.
*So thanks to Knox and her shillelagh, Ayako Hamada has retained the title against Mercedes Martinez, it what would have been a certain title change. Takako Inoue didn't like the results at all either, and was about to leave when Joey Styles insisted she stay and call the rest of the PPV with him. Inoue was more than happy to do it, so she did stay.
Well it was time for a match that Ric Flair had to reluctantly make, the bra and panties match between KAORU and Maria Kanelis. Maria looked excited, KAORU was in a mix absolute anger and reluctance, walking backstage for the "match". KAORU came out first and gave a long bitter tirade in the ring, bitching about how she was a veteran Japanese wrestler and this was degrading to her in every way possible. Maria, along with Daizee Haze and Alexis Laree, told KAORU to suck it up and take it like that bitch she is. KAORU said fine and after she beats Maria, she would lose more than just her clothes, she would lose her damn life as well.*
6.) Maria stripped KAORU rather quickly, being KAORU had no experience in this type of match. KAORU tried to out wrestle her and Maria just tore her clothes off instead for the victory.
*KAORU then ran to the back, embarrassed and humiliated as Maria taunted her with own clothes. KAORU bumped into Ashley Massaro, unknowingly. Ashley immediately began to snicker at KAORU, who just looked at her, glaring angerily. She then left, with Ashley still snickering about it.
Ashley then ironically ran into the winner, Maria Kanellis. Ashley told Maria she wanted to do things different right now. Maria said ok. Ashley then asked Maria how it felt to rip off KAORU's close and humiliate that bitch. Maria said it felt great, but not as great as Ashley will feel when she wins the AWA World Title tonight, she bets. Ashley said "Oh yeah, Cause nobody thought I would be in this triple threat match tonight, but her I am. Nobody thought I would ever gain victories over both Ice Cold and Trish Stratus either, but I did. Most of all, nobody thinks that belt is coming home to yours truely tonight. But all I can say is....you better believe that it's gonna happen." Maria nodded in agreement and wished Ashley good luck. Ashley said thanks and left.
A video package then highlighted the entire situation surrounding the AWA Television title match between the champion, Mariko Yoshida and her challengers, Cheerleader Melissa and Victoria. All three ladies were shown walking down the hall towards the ring in three-way camera shot, cause that match is NEXT!!
The two challengers came out first, followed by the champion. The ring introductions were made and belt was shown to them and the crowd. The bell then rang and match began....*
7.) Something very screwy happened tonight, it seemed that Mariko Yoshida and Victoria were working together against Melissa the entire match. Eventually Melissa did come back and managed to eliminate Victoria when she pulled Mariko into her own Super Kick. Mariko fell to the outside, KOed from the kick. Melissa suprised Victoria with the Complete Shot and got a nearfall on her. Victoria escaped the Single Minor (CIMA’s Schwein) attempt and went for the Widow's Peak, but Melissa escaped it and turned into a backslide for the elimination. Mariko reentered and we had them two one on one again, or so we thought. Victoria refused to leave ringside in anger over the elimination. So eventually the ref had enough and tried to throw her out from ringside. As this happened, Sara Del Ray entered the ring through the crowd and killed Cheerleader Melissa with the Death Ray (Jump Spike Piledriver). She then left the ring and hid at ringside and Mariko made the cover. The ref reentered and counted a long two count. Mariko then finished her off with the Air Raid Crash for the victory.
*After the match, SDR entered the ring and began stomping Melissa as Mariko just looked on and smiled. SDR began to slapped Melissa across the face as she yelled something at her. She then dragged Melissa to her feet and killed her with another Death Ray. Mariko told SDR to stop and leave Melissa alive. SDR did and posed over the fallen Melissa. SDR then left the ring, with Mariko following her.
Trish Stratus was shown backstage, ready for her AWA World title match. Trish said she has been waiting for and wanting this opportunity for a long time now. Tonight is a big night for her cause she regains the belt she was wrongfully stripped of. She's walking into the triple threat match a challenger and leaving it once again the AWA World Champion. WHY?! Because she's Trish Stratus and they're not. And being Trish Stratus, means you're the best female wrestler in the world today. THE standard bearer of women's wrestling and that is a known FACT!! And the facts always beats out the fiction, so BELIEVE THAT!!
The final video package for the triple threat match was shown, highlighting everything leading up to this moment. It ended with a three way stare of all three women, and the AWA World title belt shown faintly in the background.
Ashley Massaro walked out first and entered the ring, ready for the match. Ice Cold then made her way to ringside, with the coldest expression on her face. Trish Stratus came out to a big ovation, obviously the overwhelming favorite tonight to win the belt again. The ring introductions were made, no belt was shown through, and the bell sounded, beginning the match....*
8.) Trish Stratus kept her word and had the match won, but Ice Cold played the ever opportunist and tried stole the victory whenever possible. Ashley tried to hang with the superior skills of Trish and paid for it, big time as she ate the brutal Chick Kick that KOed her outright. But as Trish posed over Ashley, Ice Cold struck and struck hard, nailing her right in the head with a really stiff looking steel chair shot. Trish fell out of the ring, KOed from the shot as Ice Cold smiled. She then covered the still unconscious Ashley for the pinfall victory to become the new AWA World Champion.
*Ice Cold then celebrated her victory, saying the belt was hers at last. Trish finally got up and just left the ringside in anger, as Ice Cold continued to celebrated her victory. No belt was awarded to Ice Cold though, as Ric Flair appeared on top of the stage, carrying what seemed to be a brand new belt inside a black silk bag, with the AWA logo on. He then stood there and clapped for Ice Cold as the PPV faded out on that note.
A closing video package to the song "Let It All Bleed Out" also by Rob Zombie is now shown highlighting all the matches from the PPV to end it there.*
