Ultrawoman Talius: Episode One – “The Secret in the Stars”
The skyline of Metro City twinkled with lights as people walked the bustling streets. People were out enjoying the evening, the occasional news broadcast about mysterious alien sightings playing on giant screens. In the shadows of an alleyway, something stired. A young woman named Tali, with jet black hair tied back into a ponytail and a glowing wristband hidden under her long-sleeve jacket, ducked into the Earth Defense Force (EDF) headquarters. She tried to look inconspicuous, but the faint shimmer of her alien heritage gave her away to anyone paying close attention.
The EDF HQ was a mishmash of futuristic tech and budget cuts. A massive screen blared an emergency alert about “unusual seismic activity” just outside the city. Travis, the lanky and perpetually stressed EDF leader, stood at a console barking orders at underpaid staff. Nearby, Jack, the jolly logistics officer, was sitting at his desk, tearing into a family-sized bag of chips.
Travis: Why is the Kaiju scanner still offline?! We’re supposed to be Earth’s first line of defense, not my internet service provider!
Jack: Relax, boss. The scanner just needs a reboot. Maybe if you didn’t use the password “EDFROCKS” for everything, it wouldn’t keep getting hacked by that one conspiracy blogger.
Travis: BUT WE DO ROCK! And maybe if you stopped eating during emergencies, we’d get something done for once.
Jack: Multitasking, buddy. It’s called efficiency.
Tali stepped into the room, looking nervous but trying to play it cool. She set her bag down, hiding the glowing wristband underneath.
Tali: Hey, guys! What’s going on? Did I miss anything?
Travis: Oh, nothing major. Just the potential destruction of the city. AGAIN! Where were you?
Tali: Uh, traffic?
Jack: Traffic? You walk to work.
Tali: Well, the, uh, sidewalks were crowded! Anyway, what’s the situation?
Travis: Seismic activity near the industrial district. Could be a Kaiju or just a gas main exploding. Either way, we’re checking it out.
Jack tossed his chips aside and grabs his orange EDF jumpsuit.
Jack: Field trip time? Sweet. Dibs on riding nowhere near Travis. He's a bad driver.
Travis: Tali, you’re coming with us. I need someone on recon, and since you’re mysteriously absent every time a Kaiju shows up, maybe you can actually help this time.
Tali gulped, her wristband beeping faintly under her sleeve.
The EDF Jeep pulled up to a scene of destruction: a warehouse crumpled like paper, with claw marks gouged into the asphalt. Travis, Jack, and Tali stepped out cautiously, armed with EDF-standard gadgets that looked impressive but rarely worked as intended.
Jack: Whoa. Either a Kaiju did this, or someone really needs anger management.
Travis: Was that a personal swipe?
Jack: No. I wasn't talking about-
Travis: Focus, Jack. Tali, do a perimeter sweep.
Tali: Uh, me? Alone?
Travis: Yes, you. Unless you’d like Jack to do it, but he’ll probably get distracted by women or whatever, while I'm just secretly madly in love with you.
Tali: Huh?
Travis: What?
Jack: Wha?
Travis: Huh?
Tali: What?!
Travis: Just go do it please?
Jack pulled a bad of gummy worms out of his pocket and winked at Tali.
Jack: Hey, these calories fuel my love engine too.
Tali: Yikes.
Tali nods nervously and slipped away. Once out of sight, she presses a button on her wristband, and a holographic projection of an alien AI assistant appears.
AI Assistant: Greetings, Tali. Your transformation energy is fully recharged. A Class-6 Kaiju is approaching. Recommend immediate action.
Tali: Great. Another monster, and Travis’s already suspicious. I need to—
A deafening roar cut her off. The Kaiju, a massive crab-like creature with glowing red eyes, emerged from behind the wreckage. It lets out a shriek, stomping toward the EDF team. Tali ducked behind some rubble and activated her wristband, transforming in a burst of shimmering light. She grew to towering proportions, her armor gleaming in silver and blue. Ultrawoman Talius stood ready to face the Kaiju.
The Kaiju roared and charged. Talius blocked its claws with her forearm shields and countered with a glowing energy beam, sending the beast staggering back. Travis and Jack, still on the ground, gaspes as the battle unfolded.
Travis: It’s her again! That giant alien woman! Why does she always show up right when Tali disappears?
Jack: Coincidence? I think not.
Travis: If you have a theory, Jack, I’d love to hear it.
Jack: Less of a theory and more like DUH OBVIOUS! I think Tali’s an alien
Travis: What?
Jack: I can almost see up her giant skir-
Travis: PRIORITIES Jack!
The battle ended with Talius hurling the Kaiju into the ocean, before firing a beam from her forearm that fried the creature. The crab sank out of sight. She shrank back down to her human form and snuck back to the Jeep, looking disheveled but triumphant.
Tali: Sorry, guys. Got lost again. Did I miss anything?
Jack: Oh, just the usual. Giant alien lady saved the day. By the way, Tali… you’ve got some glitter in your hair.
Tali froze, frantically patting her head.
Travis: Jack might be onto something. You’re always disappearing, and you seem awfully calm for someone who almost got crushed by a Kaiju.
Tali: Me? Calm? Ha! That’s… natural composure. Nothing suspicious at all! I'm NOT Ultrawoman!
Travis: What's an Ultrawoman?
Tali: AH!
Jack pulled out a sandwich and offered it to Tali.
Jack: Here, you’ve earned this. A victory sandwich.
Travis: It's always victory sandwiches with you!
Jack: If I made a defeat sandwich, no one would be around to eat it!
Tali sighed with relief, as their short attention spans led them to another discussion.
Back at HQ, Travis was poring over footage of Talius’s battles, his suspicion growing. Jack, meanwhile, was trying to recreate Ultrawoman Talius’s signature pose in the corner, much to Tali’s exasperation.
Travis: One of these days, Tali. One of these days, I’m going to figure you out.
Tali retreated to another room, where she let out another sigh of relief and checked her wristband's energy levels.
Tali: Recharging on schedule. Good. The kaiju atJack so frequently, it's about a once a week occurence at this point. I'll have to remain the secretive mystery that the EDF so desperately want to unravel. I've been so awesome at keeping my secret too. I MEAN WHO WOULD EVER GUESS THAT I, TALI, AM SECRETLY ULTRAWOMAN TALIUS!
Travis: I KNEW IT!
Tali froze and realized she had not only said that out loud, but posed in the process, as Travis and Jack stood in the doorway.
Tali: ....FU-

Ultrawoman Talius – Episode Two: "Mindwipe Mishaps and Alien Princess Problems"
Tali, currently glowing and radiating power, stared down at Travis and Jack, who lay twitching and foaming on the ground like a couple of broken marionettes. Her glowing hands, still sparking with the aftereffects of her mindwipe powers, trembled slightly. She crossed her arms and sighed dramatically, pacing back and forth with a nervous energy that sent faint golden sparkles flying in every direction.
Tali muttered to herself as she walked, gesturing wildly in frustration.
Tali: Why do I keep doing this? Why do I keep telling people who I am? I am SO BAD AT THIS!
She stopped pacing long enough to crouch down next to Travis, who was muttering something incomprehensible while frothing lightly at the mouth. She poked his shoulder tentatively, pulling her finger back when he let out a weird gargling noise that sounded halfway between a snore and a moan.
Tali: Oh no. He’s foaming. That can't be normal. Nobody said anything about foam in the superhero manual. Oh wait, there isn’t a manual. Because of course there isn’t. Why would the universe make my life easier?
She turned her attention to Jack, who lay stiff as a board with his eyes half-open and a vacant, slightly deranged smile on his face. He muttered something that sounded vaguely like banana pudding, which only made her more concerned.
Tali: What even is that? Is banana pudding code for something? Is it his safe word? Did I just erase his memories so hard that he invented a new favorite dessert? Oh no, what if he tries to sue me for psychological damage?
She rubbed her temples and groaned.
Tali: Alright, deep breaths. This is fine. They’re just a little… memory-wiped...again. It’s not like I killed them. Probably. Maybe. Okay, okay, just fix it.
Tali extended her glowing hands over their prone forms again, muttering under her breath.
Tali: Alright, Tali, just a little memory adjustment. Nothing too complicated. Definitely don’t make it worse.
Her hands glowed brighter, and another wave of golden energy washed over the pair. They twitched violently before going limp again.
Tali: Oh no. That looked way worse than last time. Why did it look worse?
She panicked, crouching to inspect Travis. She poked his cheek again. Nothing. Then she poked Jack’s nose for good measure. Still nothing.
Tali: Awesome. They’re officially broken. Great job, idiot!
As she stood there, hands on her hips and spiraling into full-blown self-loathing, her mind started to wander. The guilt of the moment tugged her thoughts backward, pulling her into a memory—the night it all began, when her life went from smoothie barista mediocrity to glowing alien superhero chaos. It was a warm summer night, and Tali was trudging through the woods, dragging the mangled remains of her bike behind her.
She muttered to herself as she walked, her tone somewhere between annoyed and exhausted.
Tali: Stupid rabbit. Why’d you have to run out in front of me? Where even are you going? Is there some bunny thing I don’t know about?
Her bike let out a pathetic squeak as it caught on a tree root. She yanked it free with a grunt, glaring at it like it had personally betrayed her.
Tali: This was supposed to be a nice, relaxing ride. Not a hike through mosquito hell while carrying my busted bike like some kind of metal corpse.
Before she could stew any further, the sky lit up with a streak of pink and gold, so bright it felt like daytime. She froze, staring upward as a glowing object rocketed through the atmosphere, leaving a trail of sparkles in its wake.
Tali: Whoa. Shooting star. Wait. No. That’s not a star. Oh no. That’s a… that’s a…
The object hurtled toward the earth with a deafening boom, crashing into a nearby clearing in a shower of glittering debris.
Tali: Oh great. I’m about to die in a pixie sparkle explosion!
The clearing was filled with smoke and shimmering pink particles that sparkled like confetti. In the center of it all lay a shimming object. Its sleek pink and gold hull gleamed under layers of dirt and scorch marks, and faint, high-pitched whirring sounds came from inside.
Tali stepped closer, her jaw hanging open. The ship hissed as the cockpit opened, and a figure emerged—a tall, glowing alien woman who shimmered like starlight. She stumbled forward, collapsing into Tali’s arms.
The woman’s voice was melodic but strained.
?: Human… I am the Princess Talius of the Ultra Celestaran people. My body fails. My essence fades.
Tali blinked at her, wide-eyed and confused.
Tali: Your name is Talius? My name’s Tali! That’s so weird. Do you think it’s, like, destiny or something? Or maybe—
Talius: Human.
Tali Right, right, shutting up!
Tali mumbled, her face turning red. The princess took a shaky breath.
Talius: There is no time. I must merge my essence with yours to survive. If you accept, you will gain unimaginable power, but at great responsibility and risk.
Tali: Yes!
Talius: You did not even let me finish explaining the risks.
Tali: I'm a people pleaser! Plus, I wasn't really doing anything. Do I still get the powers?
Talius: Well… yes, but—
Tali: Then sign me up! Merge away, shiny lady!
The princess gave her a dubious look but raised her hand, sending a beam of light into Tali’s chest. Tali let out a high-pitched, awkward scream as the energy surged through her. Moments later, she collapsed face-first into the dirt with a comical thud. When she woke up, the princess was gone, but her voice echoed in Tali’s head.
Talius: We are one now, Tali. Together, we shall protect this world. Together, WE are Ultrawoman Talius!
Tali: Cool, cool. Quick question though. Protect the world from what?
That's when Tali looked up to see a massive meteor shower that seemed to follow Talius to Earth.
Tali: Oh...oops.
The full moon hung high above the forest, casting an eerie glow over the dense trees below. The massive swarm of meteors that hit all around the area brought about an upheaval, followed by an uncertain silence. Suddenly, a booming sound seemed to be heading closer and closer. Tali stood at the edge of a clearing, her heart racing as she stared up at the massive creature emerging from the dark sky. A giant bat—its wings spanning nearly the width of an entire city block—swooped down, its red eyes glowing with an unnatural fury. Its wings churned the air, sending gusts of wind crashing through the trees, bending them as though they were mere twigs. Tali’s eyes widened in disbelief as the beast landed with an earth-shaking thud, shaking the ground beneath her feet. She backed up a step, her pulse quickening.
Tali: Okay, this is... this is definitely not part of my usual Tuesday night. This is more like a Thursday thing. No time for jokes. Don't be ackward, you just met an alien!
Her hands trembled slightly as she glanced down at her outfit—her casual clothes, nothing more than a t-shirt and jeans. She couldn’t fight a giant monster like this with a t-shirt and jeans. But then the voice of the alien princess, Talius, echoed inside her mind.
Talius: We are one now, Tali. You possess the power of the Ultra Celestaran people. You can transform into Ultrawoman Talius, a being of unimaginable strength and prowess. Trust yourself.
Tali: Oh yeah? How do I do that?
Talius: Trust yourself, or transform?
Tali: Yes.
Talius: Look at the your wrist. You have a bangle that will help you transform, and show you how much energy you have, and it comes with assistance. You are not alone. You can do this.
Tali: Right, right. Let’s see how this works then!
Without thinking twice, she raised her arms in a dramatic, exaggerated motion. A surge of energy exploded from within her, causing the air around her to shimmer with golden light. The ground cracked beneath her feet as a wave of raw power radiated outwards, her body beginning to glow with celestial energy.
In an instant, her form shifted, her clothes disintegrating into sparks of stardust as her Ultra body formed in a flurry of light. A sleek, shimmering bodysuit wrapped around her body, highlighting her newly empowered frame. Her boots were knee-high, her belt adorned with glowing emblems, and a flowing skirt fluttered as it formed. The transformation completed with a resounding flash of brilliance.
Ultrawoman Talius: * Unintelligible giberish* "I… I did it!"
She stood tall now, towering over the trees. The ground beneath her feet trembled with each movement as the bat monster growled and flapped its wings furiously, creating gusts of wind strong enough to send Talius’ skirt fluttering up in the air.
Ultrawoman Talius gasped in shock.
The wind caught her skirt, and before she could adjust it, it was flapping around her waist, threatening to expose more than she’d bargained for.
Ultrawoman Talius: *Unintelligible giberish* "HEY! DO YOU MIND?! Can I please have one moment of dignity, just one?!"
The bat creature screeched, snapping Talius out of her mini wardrobe crisis. It lunged forward, jaws snapping, intent on tearing her apart. She caught it, and forced it back after a lengthy struggle. With a swift motion, she raised one arm to the sky. Energy swirled around her forearm, concentrating into a brilliant, glowing orb. The laser fired in a blinding flash, the beam streaking through the air like a bolt of lightning. The bat monster didn’t have time to react as the energy blast collided with its chest. The force of the blast sent the creature tumbling backward, screaming in pain as it flailed in mid-air. Talius’s gaze remained fixed on the monster, her eyes narrowed, or would have if she were able to express with her face as Ultrawoman Talius. The creature struggled to regain control, but it was too late. With a deafening explosion, the bat monster was engulfed in a fiery burst of light, its massive body disintegrating into ashes and sparks.
Ultrawoman Talius: *Unintelligible Ggibberish* "Yeah! That’s right! Ultrawoman Talius—taking care of business, one giant monster at a time!"
But as the light of the explosion died down, she blinked in surprise, noticing a sharp, sizzling smell. She glanced down at her skirt, only to see that it had been singed in the blast. The fabric, once pristine, was now charred around the edges, exposing a portion of her glowing golden armor.
Ultrawoman Talius: *Unintelligible gibberish* "Oh, come on! I was standing way too close to that explosion? Seriously?! That's gonna cost a fortune to get fixed!"
Back in the present, Tali shook herself out of the memory.
Tali: Little did I know that was the day of the kaiju invasion. The day the EDF would be formed, and the day I would coincidentally be recruited, not due to my amazing analytical skills, but because I was the only one dumb enough to sign up.
She looked down at the still-unconscious forms of Travis and Jack. They seemed to be better now, snoozing peacefully on the ground.
Tali: Oh good! It looks like it worked. No one must ever figure out that I am Ultrawoman Talius!
Travis: Huh?
Tali looked down to see Travis waking up at the worst possible time.
Travis: You mean you?
Tali: *sigh* Alright, let's take it from the top!

Ultrawoman Talius – Episode Three: “Kaiju, Questions, and Hot Springs Shenanigans”
The city was eerily quiet as Tali trudged into EDF headquarters, her hair still slightly damp from the last kaiju battle. It wasn’t the triumphant homecoming she had expected after vaporizing a Class-6 crab beast, as it got away from her, and she ran out of energy before she could pursue. Instead, Travis and Jack were already sitting in the main command room, both munching on donuts. The oversized monitor on the wall blared footage of military jets launching missiles at a smoldering kaiju carcass on the outskirts of Metro City.
Tali froze, blinking at the screen.
Tali: Wait. They killed it? Without me?
Travis, who had powdered sugar dusting his uniform, shrugged nonchalantly.
Travis: Yeah. Turns out the military’s been working on their ‘Kaiju Defense Initiative.’ Got some new missiles or whatever. Totally handled it! Can you believe it? They NEVER get it right, but they handled it.
Tali: Handled it?! But I blasted that crab thing for, like, 20 minutes! I mean Ultrawoman Talius did! I'm not Ultrawoman Talius! I was just near, and that's why I'm wet!
Jack leaned back in his chair, balancing a donut on one finger.
Jack: Yeah, and while you were doing that, the Air Force showed up and took it down in 20 seconds. Efficiency, am I right?
Tali stared at the screen in disbelief.
Tali: But I thought the EDF was the last line of defense!
Travis: We were. Until the actual military got its act together. Now we're just observation and containement.
Later that afternoon, Tali found herself in the EDF break room, pacing furiously. Her wristband flickered faintly as she muttered under her breath.
Tali: Okay, Talius. You’ve been quiet long enough. What’s the deal with these kaiju? Where are they coming from? Why are they atJacking?
The voice of Talius echoed in her mind, regal but evasive.
Talius: Tali, you must focus on your mission.
Tali: My mission?! Do you even know what it is? Because I sure don’t! Every week it’s a new monster, and I have no clue why they’re here!
Talius: They are uh...drawn to Earth’s energy?
Tali What does that even mean?!
Before Tali could press further, Travis’s voice crackled through the intercom.
Travis: *intercom* Attention EDF staff! Mandatory team-building trip to the Metro Hot Springs! Pack your towels, because we’re leaving in ten!
Tali: Great. Because nothing screams ‘professional organization’ like soaking in sulfur water with my coworkers! GAH!
The Metro Hot Springs turned out to be a cozy little retreat nestled in the hills outside the city. Steam rose lazily from the outdoor pools, surrounded by rocks and bamboo fences. Despite her grumbling, Tali couldn’t deny it was peaceful—at least until Jack cannonballed into the water.
Jack: Banzai!
He splashed hard, sending a tidal wave over Travis, who had just settled into the shallows.
Travis: This is supposed to be relaxing!
Jack: It’s relaxing for me!
Tali dipped a toe into the water cautiously, her towel wrapped tightly around her. She could already feel her cheeks heating up as she glanced nervously around.
Tali: Why does this feel like one of those awkward anime scenes?
Travis: Just try to enjoy yourself. We deserve this break.
As the team settled into the springs, Tali’s wristband started to beep faintly. She panicked, covering it with her hand.
Tali: Uh, malfunctioning fitness tracker! Definitely not alien tech!
Travis: You’ve been acting weird ever since that crab kaiju. What’s your deal, Tali?
Tali: I don’t have a deal!
Jack: You’re totally hiding something! Like, maybe you’re secretly—
Before he could finish, a gust of wind blew through the area, sending everyone’s towels flying.
Jack: Ah! My modesty!
Travis: WHO PUT THIS HOT SPRING IN A WIND TUNNEL?!
Tali, meanwhile, was bright red, clutching the edge of the spring for dear life.
Tali: Why is this happening?! Why is it always like this?!
After the chaotic soak, the team retreated to the lounge area, where Tali nursed a cup of green tea and tried to calm her nerves. Travis and Jack, still bickering about the wind incident, plopped down beside her.
Travis: So, what’s the deal with you, Tali? You’ve been dodging kaiju questions for weeks.
Tali froze, her brain scrambling for an excuse.
Tali: Uh, maybe I’m just… naturally mysterious?
Travis: That's what I love about you.
Tali: What?
Travis: I mean how do you explain this?
He held up his tablet, which displayed a blurry image of Tali as Ultrawoman Talius battling the crab kaiju.
Travis: I see Talius, and I see the crab, but I don't see you! It makes me wonder...
Jack: If you are Ultrawoman Talius, can you tell me how to get abs like that?
Travis and Jack both started laughing.
Travis: We got you!
Jack: Imagine meek little Tali being Ultrawoman Talius!
Travis: Oh that's rich! Wait...when did we start calling the giant Ultrawoman Talius again?
Jack: The name does sound similar to Tali, doesn't it?
Tali groaned, burying her face in her hands.
Tali: I can’t believe this is my life.
As the team packed up to leave the hot springs, Tali glanced at the night sky, her thoughts swirling. Still so many unanswered questions about the kaiju—and herself.
Her wristband pulsed faintly. Talius’s voice broke the silence.
Talius: Tali, the time for answers will come. But for now, trust your instincts. You are more important to this fight than you realize.
Tali: Yeah, sure. Tell that to the military.
The camera panned up to the sky, where a faint, flickering light could be seen streaking toward Earth—a new kaiju, far larger than any before.
Meanwhile, at a high rise in a city quite a distance from Metro City, a man in a suit was speaking on the phone.
?: That's no problem sir. I'm happy to help. As you know that's what we do. Focusing on defense against the threats we all face. Of course it's also a personal mission of mine, after all...
The man turned to the window with a smirk on his face.
?: I've got experience in this sort of thing. Don't worry, I'll be there soon to survey the results myself.

Ultrawoman Talius: Episode Four – “The Giant and the Stranger”
The city buzzed with its usual nocturnal energy: neon lights casting vibrant glows, traffic bustling along the avenues, and the ever-present hum of urban life echoing in the air. But above it all, a new sound pierced the atmosphere—a low, pulsating hum, rhythmic and mechanical, growing louder with every passing second.
At EDF Headquarters, the team gathered around the massive central monitor. A warning blared, bathing the room in an urgent red light:
“Unidentified Biological Threat Detected – Threat Level: 9”
Travis: That’s the highest level we’ve ever seen. This isn’t just another crab or lizard.
Tali: A nine? That’s… practically a ten. Do we even have a protocol for this?
Jack: *stuffing chips into his mouth* Yeah, we do. Step one: scream. Step two: run. Step three: blame Travis when it all goes wrong.
Travis: Hey! The signal’s coming from downtown. We’re mobilizing. Tali, Jack, grab your gear. We’re heading out now.
Meanwhile, just outside Metro City.
A sleek, black sedan rolled to a stop at a heavily guarded military base on the outskirts of the city. The car door opened, and out stepped a man in a crisp suit, his brown hair neatly combed. His presence was unassuming, yet the soldiers snapped to attention as he approached.
Soldier: It's him! Sir, we weren’t expecting you until morning.
Mysterious Man: Kaiju don’t wait for morning. Take me to your commanding officer.
The soldier nodded, leading him through the base. As they walked, the man’s eyes darted toward the monitors lining the walls, each displaying satellite footage of Metro City. A massive figure loomed in the distance, its shadow stretching across the buildings.
Mysterious Man: Front row seat to the show.
Back at EDF Headquarters.
Travis: Buckle up! This thing’s moving fast.
Tali: Great. Another monster atJack, and we have no idea what we’re dealing with. Doesn't look like anything we've seen before.
Jack: Relax. If it’s big and ugly, we’ll probably just blow it up.
Travis: You two always underestimate how serious these things are.
Tali: He's the one doing that! How are the military handling this one!
Travis: ...Why do you think I'm in such a hurry!
Tali: I see.
The team sped off into the night, the streets growing quieter as they approached the epicenter of the disturbance.
Inside the military command center, rows of monitors displayed the shadowy figure of the kaiju as it stomped through Metro City. A general stood at the helm, barking orders while tense officers scrambled to comply.
General: Get those jets in the air! I want another full artillery strike ready in five minutes!
Murmurs rippled through the room as the mysterious man entered. The general turned, his hardened expression softening slightly as he recognized the visitor.
General: Didn’t expect to see you here in person. Thought your kind preferred to work in the shadows, or in disguise.
Mysterious Man: I’m not here for pleasantries. What’s the status?
General: Big. Mean. Humanoid. It’s not like the usual ones—no claws, no tails. This one walks like it knows it owns the place. Your hightened defense system isn't having as much of an effect!
The mysterious man studied the screen intently. The kaiju was tall, its proportions eerily human-like. Its massive arms swung methodically as it marched down a main avenue, its footsteps shattering the concrete. A pair of glowing, pulsating red orbs served as its eyes, scanning its surroundings like it was searching for something—or someone.
Mysterious Man: It’s different this time.
General: What do you mean?
Mysterious Man: These aren’t random atJacks. The kaiju are being sent.
The general’s expression darkened. He opened his mouth to respond, but the man cut him off.
Mysterious Man: Save your disbelief. You’ll see soon enough.
General: So what do you suggest?
Mysterious Man: Keep your artillery ready, but hold fire. I’ll handle this.
General: You’ll handle it? What, with that weapon of yours?
The mysterious man’s eyes flickered with a sharp intensity, but his calm demeanor didn’t waver.
Mysterious Man: Just don’t get in my way.
General: I'm not the one you have to worry about! Haven't you heard? Some other Kaiju get involved, and up until last time, we were at its mercy.
Mysterious Man: Her mercy. You were at her mercy. Can't wait to meet her.
The EDF Jeep screeched to a halt near the city center, where the kaiju’s massive form loomed in the distance. The team stared in awe as it stepped through a line of abandoned cars, crushing them like tin cans. The creature’s skin was dark and metallic, with glowing red cracks running across its body like molten veins.
Tali: That’s… definitely bigger than the last one.
Jack: I’m gonna need a bigger sandwich.
Travis: Focus! Tali, scout the area. Jack, get the seismic scanner running. We need a full readout on this thing to send to the military ASAP!
Tali nodded, slipping away as her wristband began to glow faintly under her sleeve. The kaiju let out a deep, guttural roar that reverberated through the city, shaking windows and sending debris crashing to the ground.
Travis: This thing isn’t here by accident.
Jack: Oh, really? And here I thought it was just sightseeing.
Travis: Look at it, you idiot! It's looking for something....or someone.
The kaiju turned toward the team, its glowing eyes locking onto them like a predator spotting prey. It let out another roar and charged, each step shaking the ground.
Travis: Cheese it!
Tali ducked behind a crumbled wall, pressing the button on her wristband. A burst of light enveloped her as she transformed into Ultrawoman Talius. Her towering form shimmered in the darkness, her silver-and-blue armor gleaming under the kaiju’s fiery gaze. Talius raised her arms, activating her forearm shields as the kaiju swung a massive fist toward her. The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the city, but she stood her ground, pushing back with all her might.
Ultrawoman Talius: *unintelligible* You’re not taking this city!
She countered with a glowing energy beam, striking the kaiju square in the chest. The creature staggered but recovered quickly, its molten cracks glowing brighter as if drawing energy from the atJack.
Travis: It’s absorbing her atJacks!
Jack: Yep. That’s bad.
Travis: Thanks for the insight, Jack!
Jack: I'm wetting myself over here! I don't have the time to think of something witty!
Travis: That makes two of us.
After a fierce battle, Ultrawoman Talius delivered a powerful blast that sent the kaiju crashing into a derelict building. Its molten cracks dimmed as it let out one last, guttural groan before somehow disappearing into a heap of debris.
Jack: She did it! Giant alien lady saves the day again!
Travis: I'm not so sure! No explosion? It just sort of disappeared! Where did it go?
Jack: For that matter, where did she go?
Tali: Hey guys, I'm here! I was standing just over there the whole time. I'm not Talius. Did you see where that monster went though.
Travis: You saw it disappear?
Tali: Well...the uh...the angle I was standing at...ya know...over there...allowed me to see it. It just isn't there anymore.
Travis: Wait… what’s that?
From the wreckage, a smaller figure emerged, looking identical to the giant monster. It leapt toward the team with a feral snarl.
Jack: That’s NOT part of the deal!
Travis: Fall back!
The creature lunged at Travis, but before it could strike, the roar of a motorcycle echoed through the streets. A sleek motorcycle skidded to a halt, its rider clad in a dark jacket and helmet. The mysterious man dismounted, removing his helmet to reveal his face for the first time. It was the same man from the military base.
Mysterious Man: You’re not equipped to handle this.
He reached for his belt, revealing a sleek, high-tech device. The belt emitted a low hum as he placed it around his waist and pressed a glowing button in the center.
Tali: Whoa. Who are you?!
Mysterious Man: The name is Faust...Blake Faust.
Travis: Wait...that means you're-
Belt: In the name of Faust, I fight for Justice!
Blake Faust: Henshin.
A burst of light enveloped him, transforming him into Kamen Rider Faust. His armor was sleek and black with neon green accents, and a glowing emblem pulsed from his belt.
Jack: Okay, that’s officially the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.
Kamen Rider Faust: Leave this to me!
Faust charged at the creature, his armored fist glowing with energy as the screen cut to black.

Ultrawoman Talius: Episode Five – “The Hunter and the Rider”
The streets of Metro City were eerily quiet, save for the distant crackle of fires left burning from the earlier kaiju battle. Smoke lingered in the air, and debris littered the ground. Tali, Travis, and Jack stood frozen as the mysterious man—now armored as Kamen Rider Faust—faced off against the human-sized creature that had emerged from the defeated kaiju.
The creature snarled, its frame crouching low. Molten red veins crisscrossed its sleek, muscular body, glowing faintly in the dim light of the streetlamps. Its sharp claws scraped against the pavement, leaving molten streaks in their wake.
Faust took a step forward, his neon armor gleaming.
Kamen Rider Faust: Won't even have to send you to the Death Realm.
With a guttural growl, the creature lunged at him. Faust stood firm, sidestepping the atJack with calculated precision. He countered with a swift roundhouse kick that struck the creature square in the ribs, sending it tumbling into a crumpled car. Sparks erupted as its claws slashed against the metal.
Jack clapped, his excitement bubbling over.
Jack: Did you see that? He just yeeted that thing!
Travis: Focus! We don’t know what that thing is, and we definitely don’t know how to sto- did you say yeet?
The creature recovered quickly, hissing as it leapt toward Faust again. This time, it moved faster, slashing wildly. Faust activated his belt, and a spectral chain materialized, glowing as it wrapped tightly around the beast’s limbs. With a flick of his wrist, he yanked the creature backward, slamming it into the asphalt with a loud crash.
Faust tightened the chains as the creature thrashed, its molten veins glowing brighter with every passing second.
Kamen Rider Faust: You’re not going anywhere.
The creature roared, a deafening sound that reverberated through the streets. With a final burst of energy, it shattered the chains and scrambled to its feet. It glared at Faust one last time before leaping onto the roof of a nearby building, disappearing into the shadows.
Kamen Rider Faust: ...Or maybe you are.
Tali stepped forward, her wristband glowing faintly under her sleeve.
Tali: What was that thing?
Faust deactivated his transformation, the glowing armor dissolving in a swirl of light. He turned to face the group, his expression unreadable.
Blake Faust: It’ll be back.
The EDF command room was tense, the hum of the holographic projector filling the silence as Blake Faust, now back in his sharp suit, stood before the team. Travis, Tali, and Jack sat around the conference table, their expressions ranging from skeptical to confused.
Faust gestured to the holographic display, which showed the night sky dotted with glowing points of data.
Blake Faust: This isn’t random. Most of your kaijus seemed to land randomly following something else, but this one wasn’t just following the path. It was hunting.
Tali: Hunting what?
Blake’s gaze locked onto her, unflinching.
Blake Faust: You.
The room fell silent. Tali shifted uncomfortably in her chair, her mind racing.
Travis: Wait, what? Why would it be hunting her?
Blake Faust: ... HAHA! I'm kidding! It's because of Ultrawoman Talius! Every time she appears, she radiates a unique energy signature. That energy acts like a beacon! We figured that out, using the same technology we were using to locate the Death Realm!
Jack tilted his head, his curiosity overtaking his usual sarcasm.
Jack: Okay, I gotta ask—what exactly is the Death Realm? Sounds like something out of a heavy metal album.
Faust ignored the remark, placing his glowing belt on the table.
Blake Faust: The Death Realm is a parallel dimension, a place where energy is unstable and dangerous. That's really a;; I can get into, but the point is, the beings within were drawn to energy. This Kaiju is drawn to a very specific and unique energy. Ultrawoman Talius. My belt taps into the Death Realm’s energy. It allows me to transform, but it also makes me a target. With Talius, it's the same thing.
Travis: So you’re saying this creature is coming after Talius because of her energy?
Blake Faust: Exactly.
Tali finally spoke, her voice quieter than usual.
Tali: So… this is my fault?...I mean Talius' fault? I'm not Talius.
Blake Faust: It’s not about fault. It’s about survival.
The next day, Tali wandered the bustling streets of Metro City, her thoughts still on Faust’s revelation. Her wristband continued to emit a faint glow, but she kept it hidden beneath her sleeve.
Tali: Hunting me. Great. Just great.
As she turned down a quieter side street, she caught sight of something strange out of the corner of her eye: a coffee cup mascot waddling along behind her. It stopped whenever she looked back, pretending to hand out flyers to confused pedestrians.
Tali frowned, picking up her pace. The mascot followed, its oversized foam cup bobbing comically. Finally, she stopped and turned around, hands on her hips.
Tali: Alright, spill it. Who are you?!
The mascot froze. After a long, awkward pause, it slowly removed its oversized headpiece to reveal Blake Faust’s face.
Tali: You’ve got to be kidding me!
Blake Faust: Java Coffington! Geist Corporation super secret field operative!
Tali: A coffee costume?
Blake Faust: People trust coffee...and I enjoy it.
Despite herself, Tali burst out laughing, the tension that had been building finally breaking. Faust’s serious expression softened into a faint smile.
Blake Faust: I know who you are. Ultrawoman Talius.
Tali’s laughter faded, replaced by a wary look.
Tali: How?
Blake Faust: We’ve been monitoring kaiju activity for weeks. I have ways to see things most people don't. We’ve seen what you can do. Don’t worry—your secret’s safe with me. That's why I'm sharing my secret identity with you, so fair is fair.
Tali: The coffee mascot is your secret identity? You announce to the world you're a Kamen Rider, but THIS is your secret identity?
Blake Faust: Fun right?
Tali: Wow. Well thanks for telling me. I'm feeling overwhelmed.
Blake Faust: You’re not alone in this fight.
The streets of Metro City lay eerily quiet under the cover of night. Streetlights flickered weakly, and distant sirens echoed from the earlier chaos. The EDF Jeep rolled to a halt on a debris-strewn street near the financial district. Travis, Jack, and Tali stepped out, their footsteps crunching against broken glass and concrete.
Travis scanned the area, gripping his scanner tightly.
Travis: Energy readings are through the roof! It’s here!
Jack glanced nervously around, his hands twitching.
Jack: Can it maybe not be here? I liked it better when it wasn’t here!
Tali adjusted her jacket, keeping her wristband hidden as it pulsed faintly beneath the sleeve. She felt the creature’s presence before she heard it, an unnatural vibration in the air that set her nerves on edge.
Tali: It’s close.
A guttural growl rumbled from the shadows, followed by the heavy, deliberate thud of clawed feet. The creature emerged into the pale glow of the streetlights. It had grown more monstrous since the last encounter. Its limbs were elongated, its claws sharper and dripping with molten energy. Red veins pulsed across its muscular frame, and jagged spikes jutted from its back.
The EDF team instinctively backed away, their faces pale as the creature snarled and locked its glowing red eyes onto them.
Jack: Yep, definitely worse. Let me just hide behind you Travis.
Travis: It can quite clearly see you behind me!
Jack: What do you mean by that?!
Travis pulled out his handheld gadget, the screen lighting up with frantic warnings.
Travis: It’s evolving?! Every time they damage it, it gets stronger. The military bombardment, Talius, and Kamen Rider Faust. They all seemed to feed it energy!
The creature crouched low, its molten claws carving deep grooves into the asphalt as it prepared to pounce.
Before it could strike, the roar of a motorcycle pierced the tense air. A streak of light darted through the street, screeching to a halt in front of the team. Blake Faust dismounted, his sharp suit billowing in the faint breeze.
Blake Faust: Stay back.
Travis: Faust, what are you—
Blake Faust: This thing is far beyond your capabilities, or the weapons I facilitated for the military. If Ultrawoman Talius is around, I hope she realizes we need to finish this thing off here and now.
With a press of the glowing core, the belt emitted a low hum that grew into a powerful surge of energy.
Blake Faust: Henshin!
A burst of green light engulfed him as his body transformed. When the light faded, he stood as Kamen Rider Faust, his sleek black-and-neon green armor glowing faintly in the darkened street.
The creature roared, leaping at him with terrifying speed. Faust didn’t flinch. He ducked under the first swipe of its claws and countered with an uppercut. The impact sent the creature staggering backward, its molten veins flaring brighter.
Kamen Rider Faust: You shrunk down to hide from your target. Let's force a rapid growth spurt.
He activated his belt, summoning spectral chains that shot out and wrapped around the creature’s limbs. The chains glowed with a ghostly light as they tightened, pulling the creature towards him. It thrashed violently, molten energy sizzling as it clashed against the restraints. Faust jumped up into the air and pulled himself towards the creature with the chains.
Kamen Rider Faust: Faustian KICK!
Faust blasted the creature with the kick and sent it flying, but it refused to quit.
As Faust battled the creature, Tali glanced around, searching for cover. The pulsing glow of her wristband grew stronger, signaling her transformation was ready. She spotted the remains of a toppled truck and darted behind it, crouching low.
She pressed the button on her wristband, and a burst of light enveloped her, concealing her transformation from view. In seconds, she emerged as Ultrawoman Talius.
The creature roared again, its molten veins glowing so brightly they illuminated the surrounding streets. With a sudden burst of energy, it shattered Faust’s chains and leapt back, snarling as it swelled with unstable power.
Travis: It’s mutating! It's about to grow again!
Kamen Rider Faust: Perfect.
The creature’s body expanded rapidly, its limbs growing thicker and longer. Spikes erupted along its spine as it roared, its voice now echoing like thunder. It grew until it towered over the surrounding buildings, its molten veins pulsing like rivers of lava.
Jack: Great. Now it’s huge. Because that’s what this night was missing. We're going to get stomped!
Kamen Rider Faust stared up at the kaiju, unfazed. He summoned his spectral chains again, but the creature swatted them away with a single swing of its massive claw.
Kamen Rider Faust: Worth a shot, but it’s too big for me now. Cue Ultrawoman Talius!
Travis: We can’t just call her. She shows up when she shows up.
Kamen Rider Faust: She’s already here.
Travis: Oh! Can we just call her?
Jack: We never tried!
Travis: That's a good point.
Talius stepped out of the darkness, her massive form illuminated by the flickering lights of the city. She planted her feet firmly, her silver-and-blue armor gleaming as she faced the towering kaiju.
Ultrawoman Talius: *unintelligible* It’s my turn now.
The kaiju roared, slamming its claws into the ground and sending shockwaves rippling through the streets. Talius charged forward, meeting the creature head-on. She ducked under a swipe of its claws and delivered a powerful punch to its chest, the impact sending molten sparks flying.
The kaiju retaliated, swinging its now protruding massive spiked tail in a wide arc. Talius raised her shields, absorbing the blow, though the force pushed her back several steps. She countered with a quick energy blast from her forearm cannon, striking the kaiju in the shoulder.
The kaiju staggered but quickly recovered, its molten veins flaring brighter as it unleashed a devastating energy beam from its mouth. Talius rolled to the side, narrowly avoiding the blast as it carved a trench through the street. Talius looked down to see the crystal on her chest blinking red.
Ultrawoman Talius: *unintelligible* Enough of this.
She raised her arm, energy swirling around her forearm cannon as she charged her ultimate atJack. The kaiju roared and lunged at her, but she stood her ground.
Ultrawoman Talius: *unintelligible* Stay down!
The blast struck the kaiju square in the chest, engulfing it in brilliant light. The creature let out a deafening screech as its molten veins shattered, its body disintegrating into ash.
As the dust settled, Talius quietly slipped away, shrinking back into her human form behind the cover of the fallen truck. She rejoined Travis and Jack as though she had simply been in hiding the entire time.
Faust deactivated his transformation, his armor dissolving in a swirl of light. He approached the team, his expression calm but serious.
Blake Faust: Not bad...not bad at all.
Blake winked and smiled at Tali. Tali nodded silently, her exhaustion evident. Travis and Jack went to go investigate the explosion site, while Tali hung back with Blake.
Tali: Thanks for the assist...coffee guy.
Blake Faust: You didn't need me...well not that much anyways. You're the hero of Metro City, and it's in safe hands. If you ever need me, you know where to find me.
Tali: I mean, what's the hurry? We could have dinner or something, ya know?
Blake Faust: Thanks but-
Blake held up his hand, showing his ring finger.
Blake Faust: Happily married.
Tali: Oh...oh right. Hehe...forget I asked! *sigh*
Tali blushed, while Faust smiled as he walked back to his motorcycle.
Above them, the night sky flickered ominously, a faint signal pulsing in the distance—a harbinger of greater threats to come.

Ultrawoman Talius – Episode Six: “Echoes of the Ultra”
The skyline of Metro City gleamed like nothing had happened, even though half the power grid was still running on backup. Morning traffic buzzed, drones zipped by, and on every billboard a replay of the “mysterious alien battle” looped with dramatic synth music.
Inside EDF Headquarters, the mood was anything but heroic. Travis, coffee-deprived and twitchy, stood at a holographic display projecting last night’s seismic data. Jack, as usual, was making breakfast out of vending-machine snacks. Tali sat nearby, pretending to type a report while her wristband pulsed faint blue under her sleeve.
Travis: All right, people—three confirmed tremors, one destroyed block, and a hole in the street big enough to qualify as its own ZIP code!
Jack: And yet the mayor still won’t let us expense a doughnut budget.
Travis: Jack! Focus!
Jack: I am focused. On the empty caffeine levels in my bloodstream. I need coffee, and I need sugar! That’s crisis management.
Tali stifled a laugh, but her wristband blinked brighter. For half a second, the holographic interface shimmered to life on its own—a ghostly outline of a regal figure, fragmented by static. Princess Talius.
Princess Talius: The seal weakens... She will awaken...
The image faded. The coffee mug on Tali’s desk levitated an inch, then shattered.
Tali: Oops! It slipped!
Travis gave her a side-eye; Jack just offered napkins.
That night, EDF dispatch picked up more “unusual seismic activity.” Travis barked for everyone to gear up, and ten minutes later the team jeep rattled through downtown toward the new subway expansion tunnels.
Floodlights illuminated cracked pavement. Workers were evacuated, leaving the site eerily silent except for a low hum pulsing beneath the ground.
They descended the half-finished stairway. The deeper they went, the hotter the air became, and the more Tali’s wristband buzzed.
Jack: You sure this isn’t just the world’s biggest boiler leak?
Travis: I’m reading radiation spikes, electromagnetic distortion, and a cosmic anomaly.
Jack: So... definitely not a boiler.
Travis: Yeah, I'd think not.
Jack: Wait...radiation?
Travis: I know, Jack, but we must be brave...but quick though. Let's hurry it up. Hustle!
Jack: Right behind you...
Tali: You're not moving.
Jack: Huh? Oh! Right.
The tunnel opened into a wide cavern where construction had stopped. In the center, half-buried in rock, pulsed a giant crystal cocoon, veins of red light snaking across its surface.
Travis: Holy...that thing’s alive.
Jack: Oh good, because what we needed was another glowing space egg.
Tali: Let's...not poke at it.
Jack: What? I was just holding this stick. I wasn't gonna!
But the cocoon vibrated, humming in rhythm with Tali’s wristband. The blue and red pulses began syncing—like a heartbeat.
Tali: Oh no. That’s definitely my problem.
When the others turned to check a sensor reading, she slipped closer. The crystal’s light reflected across her face as alien glyphs flared to life on the walls. Her wristband projected a shimmering script—identical symbols intertwining.
Princess Talius: *voice in Tali's head* Please, do not touch it.
Tali, of course, touched it.
The cocoon blazed white. A shockwave hurled her backward, shaking the entire tunnel. Rocks rained down; alarms blared.
Travis: Everyone out!
Jack: Yep, it's mad we poked it!
Tali: Oops!
Jack: Didn't even use the stick
They barely scrambled topside as the tunnel collapsed behind them. Dust rose in thick clouds, swallowing the entrance—and the cocoon.
Hours later, in her small apartment, Tali lay wide-awake. Every time she blinked, she saw flashes: silver skies, towering warriors of light, and a figure that looked like her—but darker, crimson-eyed, smiling through the smoke.
She jolted upright, drenched in sweat.
Tali: Great. Haunted by my own face. Therapists love that sort of thing.
Her wristband activated by itself, projecting static that resolved into Vera, her AI companion.
Vera: Vital readings unstable. Energy output irregular.
Tali: Yeah, no kidding. Ever since I touched that space egg, I’ve been glowing like a night-light on caffeine.
Vera: An anomaly is forming beneath the city. Recommend immediate investigation.
Tali: Of course you do.
Tali descended alone, flashlight flickering. Dust swirled around her boots. The collapsed walls had somehow cleared themselves—smooth and glass-like now, humming faintly.
Glyphs lit up as she passed, forming an image of two Ultra warriors dueling: one radiant blue, one burning red.
Vera: Glyph translation complere. Historical data confirms internal conflict among Ultra protectors. Designation: Talius versus Malice.
Tali: Malice. Subtle name.
The ground quaked. From within a cracked wall, a crimson glow bled outward. The cocoon had re-formed—and split open.
A towering silhouette stepped through the smoke, her armor sharp and elegant, her eyes glowing crimson. Her voice was smooth yet distorted.
Ultrawoman Malice: So this is what became of you? A human vessel bearing your name?
Tali: Wow, okay. Didn’t expect my evil twin to start with shade.
Malice tilted her head, studying her.
Ultrawoman Malice: You are not Talius. She is hiding inside of you.
Tali: Who are you? What do you want with Talius?!
Ultrawoman Malice: Oh, you don't know? Amusing. Talius ran here, but I found her, and I'll stomp you if I have to. Anything to bring her out for a fight.
Tali: You don't have to go that far. You want a fight? We'll give it to you! Let’s dance.
She slammed her palm against her wristband. Light exploded, and Ultrawoman Talius rose within the cavern, her silver-and-blue armor illuminating the darkness.
The two giants clashed. Shockwaves tore through the tunnels, bending steel beams. Energy bracers met in bursts of lightning.
Above ground, EDF sensors went berserk. Travis and Jack watched from their command truck as the street began to crack.
Travis: Tell me that’s not her again.
Jack: The big lady? Sure feels like it.
A burst of red light erupted from the street, followed by blue. Both figures broke through the surface in a spray of debris. Cars flew, windows shattered.
Jack: I vote we rename this city Craterville. Shall we fall back?
Travis: We shall. We definitely shall! Cheese it!
The duel raged across the streets of Metro City. Malice moved with cold precision, every strike calculated, Talius fought desperately, her armor flickering like a dying star.
Ultrawoman Malice: You've borrowed her light, human. But you haven't earned it.
Ultrawoman Talius: Maybe not, but I'll still fight to protect this world!
They locked hands, energy surging between them in a spiral of red and blue that painted the sky. For a heartbeat, the whole city went silent—then a colossal shockwave sent both tumbling.
Tali struggled to her feet. Her energy crystal blinked red; her vision swam. Across the rubble, Malice advanced slowly, like a mirror image warped by rage.
Ultrawoman Malice: You will fade, and I'll get what I came for!
As Malice raised her hand to strike, her own energy crystal began to blink.
Ultrawoman Malice: NO! NOT NOW! GRRR! THIS ISN'T OVER TALIUS! YOU WILL ANSWER FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!
Malice disappeared into a cloud of smoke. Talius staggered, shrinking back into human form as she collapsed.
Tali woke to white ceilings and the smell of disinfectant. EDF Medical Bay. Jack snored in a chair beside her, a half-eaten sandwich in his hand. Travis leaned against the doorway, holding a datapad.
Travis: Morning, hero. The city’s still standing. Barely.
Tali: Guess Ultrawoman showed up again, huh? What a coincidence.
Travis: Yeah. Funny thing though—the scanners picked up two identical energy signatures. One’s gone now. The other... is sitting right here.
Tali: ...So, uh, how about that local sports team?
Travis: We don’t have a team...since Talius slammed a Kaiju on the stadium.
Tali: Uh....exactly!
He stared at her a moment longer, then sighed.
Travis: Whoever she is...she saved a lot of lives. Maybe give her my thanks next time you—see her.
He left. Jack muttered in his sleep,
Jack: Are they really that big, Ultrawoman?
Tali sat up, staring at her reflection in the dark monitor screen. For an instant, her reflection showed Talius.
Tali: Oh boy.
Night again. The city skyline sparkled, deceptively peaceful. In a distant corporate tower, a figure in a Geist Corporation lab coat watched footage of the battle.
Scientist: Very interesting. I must have the powers of Talius under my control, not for Geist, but the true rightful rulers of this world, Axis Nova. I'm sure you'll assist me with this goal, won't you Marcy?
A woman with pulled back blonde hair, a red dress, thick eyebrows, and thin glasses stepped forward.
Marcy: Of course, Uncle Heimrich. For Axis Nova...for you...
She held up her arm revealing, a bracelet identical to the one worn by Tali.
Marcy: ...For Malice.

Ultrawoman Talius – Episode Seven: “Queen of Chaos”
The sky screamed.
Not thunder. Not wind.
Something deeper, like reality itself tearing open.
A civilization stood on the edge of annihilation.
Crystal towers once radiant and impossibly tall, lay shattered across the horizon. Their fractured surfaces reflected a sky choked with black war cruisers, each one pulsing with a sickly red glow.
The symbol burned across their hulls:
THE BIO DOMINION.
Tali was there.
No...she wasn’t Tali.
She moved with purpose. Precision. Power.
She was Talius.
Her body towered over the city as she caught a collapsing spire mid-fall, straining against the weight as civilians scrambled beneath her.
Alien Civilian: Please! The evacuation gates are failing! We’re trapped!
Talius: Move. Now. I will hold them back.
Tali could understand. She was watching it play out, and she could understand Talius, like she did against Malice.
A creature descended from above.
Massive. Warped. Its body was an unnatural fusion of flesh and machinery—claws like jagged steel, veins glowing red beneath translucent armor.
It landed with a thunderous impact.
The ground split.
Talius didn’t hesitate.
She struck first, her forearm igniting in radiant light as she slashed across the creature’s chest, sending sparks and blood scattering into the air.
But more followed.
Dozens.
Then hundreds.
The sky became a storm of monsters.
Behind her, voices shouted—desperate, fractured.
Alien Soldier: We can’t stop them! Too many of them! We need Spie-
Another Alien Soldier: We don't have time! We have to evacuate! We have to run!
Alien Soldier: Where?!
The world flickered.
The sound stretched unnaturally.
Like time was slipping.
…There is one… a distant world… primitive… but stable…
Talius turned. A flash. She saw it. Earth.
Everything collapsed into white.
Tali exploded upright from her chair, sending papers flying everywhere.
Tali: THEY’RE COMING!
Jack launched backward out of his seat.
Jack: I DIDN’T EAT THE LAST DONUT! WAIT! OKAY MAYBE I DID BUT—
Tali: WHAT?!
Jack: WRONG CONFESSION?!
Travis burst into the room mid-chaos, holding a tablet.
Travis: Good, you’re done napping on the job. We’ve got a situation!
Tali: Napping on the job?! Was I?! It's just been busy! I didn't mean to- *sigh* No excuses. Let me guess… alien invasion?
Travis hesitated.
Travis: Worse. A beauty pageant.
Silence.
Tali stared.
Tali: ...I’m going back to sleep.
She tried to lie back down.
Travis grabbed her by the shoulders and yanked her upright.
Travis: Not a chance!
A hologram flickered to life.
Bright lights. Glittering stage.
MISS METRO CITY PAGEANT
Travis: During the last sighting with Talius and that other large woman, we detected an energy signature from their fight. We’ve detected a similar energy near the location of this event. Same anomaly signature as the underground cocoon.
Jack: So either we’ve got an alien hiding in a tiara...
Travis: Or something is going to wake up right in the middle of this thing! They're NOT going to let us shut it down either. Something about President Orange Man loving pageants or something. The only thing we can do is monitor from a distance...unless...
Tali: Wait. You’re not seriously thinking—
Both men turned to her.
Jack: You’re literally the only one who can blend in. I mean I know I'm a Casanova, but I lack a couple features that might come in handy.
Travis: And I'm not wearing a wig....not after the last time.
Tali: Last time? What happened last ti- wait...we fight monsters!
Jack: And tonight, you fight judges.
Tali: I would rather fight the monsters!
Backstage at the Metro City Metropolitan Stage, Tali stood in front of a mirror.
Dress. Heels. Hair done.
She looked like a completely different person.
And she hated it.
Tali: This is a nightmare. This is worse than that nightmare about...them. The Bio Dominion? What a nightmare...but this? This is psychological warfare.
Jack’s voice crackled in her earpiece.
Jack: (over comm) For the record, you look incredible!
Tali: I will unplug your mic.
Travis (over comm): Focus. Identify the energy source or at least keep an eye out. We need to move at a moment's notice if something erupts!
Tali took a breath.
Stepped out.
The room slowed.
Because someone walked in.
Effortless elegance. Calm confidence. Every movement precise. Her sash read the name "Marcy".
And immediately...Tali hated her.
They collided. Hard.
Marcy: Watch where you’re going!
Tali: You walked into me!
Marcy: I don’t walk into people!
Tali: Yeah? Reality disagrees! It just happened!
They stared. Something deeper than irritation. Recognition. Conflict.
Marcy: You’re not competition.
Tali: That's fine. That's totally fine! I wasn’t trying to be!
Marcy: Then why are you here? Just stay out of my way.
Tali: You don’t have a lane for me to stay out of.
Back at the EDF van, Jack and Travis watched with morbid fascination.
Jack: Oh this is gonna be good.
Travis: Just hope she can wait until the show's over to let her have it.
The show began, and it was obvious that Tali stuck out like a sore thumb, but many in the audience found it endearing. She found it terrifying. During the talent round, Marcy performed an Elegant dance. Perfect control.
Applause.
Tali attempted a similar dance and immediately tripped and broke a prop. She tried to recover and made a combat stance.
Judge: ...Is that... karate?
Tali: Defensive preparedness?
Judge: Oh! Wow! Well done!
Interview Round
Judge: What does Metro City mean to you?
Marcy: As the niece of a prominent scientist of the Geist Corporation, I know that Metro City equals potential. Strength. Unity. Beauty in resilience.
Applause.
Judge: And you?
Tali: Less destruction would be nice.
There was a long awkward pause, followed by laughter and applause.
Tali’s wristband pulsed.
Strong. She scanned. Locked. She turned.
Marcy?
Tali: Marcy?
Marcy: What is it? You're already making this into a joke!
Tali: Something near you is giving off a weird energy signature.
Marcy: What are you talking about!?
Tali: ...
Tali held up her wrist band...the one given to her by Talius.
Marcy smiled. Her eyes flickered red.
Announcer: While we prepare to announce the winner, let's let these lovely ladies head to the back and take a breather! We'll be back shortly!
They stepped away from the crowd. The tension was thick as Tali stared in confusion at Marcy.
Tali: You’re the signal.
Marcy: Took you long enough.
Tali: Let me guess. Evil version of me?
Marcy: No, the better version.
Tali: Oh good. A superiority complex. That’s new.
Marcy: So you're the one harboring the fugitive? You're wearing a coward like a costume.
Tali: And you wear arrogance like perfume, and it reeks! I don't know what you're talking about. Talius hasn't been explicit on details!
Marcy: Funny. Malice told me everything. She's here to hunt down the one who ran away. Talius.
Tali: ...
Marcy: By the way, your scanner is faulty. Oh sure, I'm probably glowing, but that's not the only signature. If you were in sync with Talius like I am Malice, you'd know that.
Tali: What?
The two were suddenly ushered back onto the stage.
Announcer: And the winner of Miss Metro City is—
The world exploded.
The stage collapsed.
A massive creature burst through the street.
Screams everywhere.
Chaos.
Fire.
Jack: CALLED IT! PAGEANT KAIJU!
Tali and Marcy locked eyes.
Tali: After this.
Marcy: If you survive that long.
Marcy backed into a sea of people running away as Tali removed her ear piece and hid behind the stage before summoning Talius.
Light erupted.
Tali became Ultrawoman Talius.
The monster turned and seemed to recognize her.
Tali froze.
The dream hit her again.
Burning world.
Fleeing people.
She snapped back to reality as the kaiju attacked. She barely held it at bay.
It slammed her into buildings.
Pinned her.
She struggled to hold it back. Struggled to utilize the powers of the Alien Princess. Was she a criminal? Her time was running out. The emblem on her chest began flickering.
Marcy stood on a rooftop above the chaos.
Watching.
Calculating.
Her hand clenched.
She almost transformed, but stopped.
Marcy: They'll keep coming, Talius. They'll just keep coming.
Tali rose.
Barely.
But something changed.
Talius: Trust me, Tali.
Tali: What? How can I? You don't tell me anything. What are these things? Why do they keep showing up?
Talius: Please. You have to trust me!
Tali: ...*sigh* I'm choosing to trust you, because he have to stop this kaiju. WE HAVE TO SAVE THE WORLD!
Energy surged.
Ultrawoman Talius fired the Ultra Ray from her gauntlet.
The beam tore through the kaiju. It screamed before falling to the ground and exploding. The wind blew up Talius's skirt, and she quickly struggled to cover it up.
Later, Tali stumbled back into human form.
Exhausted.
Marcy waited.
Marcy: Not bad. Not bad at all. Next time...I won’t be watching.
Her eyes glowed.
Marcy: I’ll be the one you’re fighting.
She vanished.
Back at EDF HQ, Travis replayed footage.
Paused and zoomed in. A symbol on the side of the kaiju.
Travis: You see that? A symbol. This isn’t random.
Jack leaned in.
Jack: That’s bad, right?
Travis: That’s invasion level bad. That means the theory of the kaiju just randomly happening on Earth is wrong. They're definitely here for a purpose.
Tali stood alone.
City lights around her.
Her reflection flickered.
Red.
Then blue.
Tali: Talius...I'm going to need some answers...and maybe...a longer skirt.
To Be Continued...

Ultrawoman Talius – Episode Eight: “Runaway Bride of the Stars”
The morning after the destruction of the Metro City Metropolitan Stage began with three simultaneous disasters.
The first was the citywide traffic collapse caused by half the downtown district being closed for emergency repairs. The second was the continued public debate over whether the Miss Metro City competition technically had a winner when the finalists had been interrupted by a monster attack. The third, and by far the most dangerous, was Tali standing in the center of the Earth Defense Force command room with both hands pressed against the main console as she demanded answers from the alien princess living inside her head.
The command room had suffered only minor damage during the previous day’s emergency, although the same could not be said for the nerves of the people working inside it. Warning notices covered several monitors, one of the overhead lights had developed a persistent flicker, and a handwritten sign had been taped over the malfunctioning kaiju detector.
DO NOT HIT THIS MACHINE.
Directly beneath the warning, Jack was striking the side of the machine with a rolled-up magazine.
Travis: The sign is specifically for you.
Jack: Then why didn’t you put my name on it?
Travis: Because I thought basic reading comprehension would be enough, you rotund goofball!
Jack: You overestimated the power of written communication, string bean!
The scanner emitted a wounded electronic groan. A small panel slid loose and dropped onto the floor.
Travis closed his eyes and took a slow breath through his nose.
Travis: I need you to stop helping.
Jack: That sounds like a lot of not my problem.
Tali barely heard them. She had spent most of the night awake, pacing her apartment while fragments of unfamiliar memories moved through her mind. Some belonged to Princess Talius. Some seemed to belong to Malice. Others were only flashes of burning stars, screaming civilians, and black ships bearing the symbol she now knew belonged to the Bio Dominion.
Every time she tried to sleep, she saw the same image.
A colossal chamber built around a suspended star. Thousands of armed figures lined the walls while an unseen voice announced the joining of two great powers. Princess Talius stood at the center of it all, dressed in ceremonial armor, staring toward someone hidden behind a veil of red light.
Then came the terror.
The desperate flight.
The crash on Earth.
By dawn, Tali had decided that she was finished accepting vague warnings and incomplete explanations.
She raised her wrist and stared at the glowing bangle.
Tali: We are talking about this now.
No response came.
Jack stopped hitting the scanner and looked over.
Jack: Are you talking to yourself again?
Tali: ...Yes.
Jack: Good. For a second, I thought you were talking to us.
Travis: Cause it sounded deep, like it going to be a long conversation, and we really didn't want to have one of those right now. I haven't yet had my Cafe Noir coffee.
Jack: Gotta love Java Coffington.
Travis: How could you not?
Tali ignored them and tapped the bangle twice.
Tali: Talius, I know you can hear me.
The blue stone at the center of the device glimmered faintly.
Tali: You have five seconds before I put this thing in the microwave.
The light intensified immediately.
Princess Talius: That would be dangerous for both of us.
Tali pointed accusingly at the wristband as though Princess Talius were standing in front of her.
Tali: Good. You’re awake.
Princess Talius: I do not sleep in the way you understand it.
Tali: Then you have no excuse for ignoring me.
Travis slowly approached, maintaining the cautious posture of a man trying not to startle someone holding a potentially explosive alien artifact.
Travis: Tali, who exactly are you arguing with?
Tali: The alien princess sharing my body.
The room became quiet.
Jack glanced at Travis.
Jack: I told you there was an alien princess.
Travis: You also said the vending machine had a vendetta against you.
Jack: It was refusing to give me my pretzels. That was a clear expression of hostility.
Tali pushed away from the console and marched toward the supply room at the back of headquarters.
Tali: I need privacy.
Travis: You just announced the alien princess thing to the entire room.
Tali: I need privacy starting now.
She stepped inside the supply room and slammed the door behind her. A moment later, she opened it again.
Tali: And don’t listen through the door.
Jack: We would never.
Tali narrowed her eyes.
Tali: You absolutely would.
Jack: ...I absolutely would.
The door slammed again.
Travis and Jack waited three seconds before moving closer.
Inside the cramped room, Tali leaned against a shelf. Her wristband cast a blue glow across the shelves.
A holographic image formed in front of her. Princess Talius appeared at only a fraction of her true size, composed of flickering light. She carried herself with the elegant restraint of royalty, but there was a noticeable tension in her expression.
Princess Talius: I understand that you have questions.
Tali: I have had questions since the night you crashed into the forest and merged with me before explaining what I was signing up for.
Princess Talius: You agreed very quickly.
Tali: I was going through a weird phase.
Princess Talius: You asked whether you would receive powers.
Tali: I said it was a weird phase.
Princess Talius folded her hands in front of her.
Princess Talius: The truth is complicated.
Tali: I don't like that. Normally that means it's either dire or embarrassing.
Princess Talius: That is not always the case.
Tali: Is it the case now?
Princess Talius looked away.
Tali’s eyes widened.
Tali: It is.
Princess Talius: I would prefer that you allow me to explain without interruption.
Tali: I promise nothing.
The hologram flickered as Princess Talius gathered herself.
Princess Talius: Long before I arrived on Earth, the Ultra Celestaran territories were caught between several expanding powers. The Bio Dominion was the most aggressive among them. They presented themselves as a unifying empire capable of ending war throughout the outer systems.
Tali: Let me guess. Their solution to war was conquering everyone involved.
Princess Talius: That is a simplified but accurate description.
Tali: I’m getting good at this.
Princess Talius: Their ruler proposed a political union between our peoples. The Dominion would cease its advance into Celestaran space, and in exchange, the royal bloodline would be joined to theirs.
Tali stared at her.
Tali: Joined how?
Princess Talius hesitated for one second too long.
Tali: No.
Princess Talius: Tali—
Tali: No, no, no. You are not about to tell me that an interstellar monster empire is attacking Earth because of a wedding.
Princess Talius: It was more than a wedding. It was a binding of dynasties, military resources, territories, and cultural authority.
Tali: So it was a really expensive wedding.
Princess Talius: I was expected to marry a high ranking member of the Bio Dominion ruling house.
Tali lowered herself onto a crate.
Tali: Who?
Princess Talius: Lord Imperius Vhal.
Tali: That sounds made up.
Princess Talius: It is his name. His full ceremonial designation is Imperius Vhal, Sovereign Heir of the Dominion Core, Conqueror of the Seven Breaches, Keeper of the Living Armada, and Voice of the Ascendant Flesh.
Tali stared at her for several seconds.
Tali: You were supposed to marry someone who introduces himself like the final boss of a video game?
Princess Talius: The introductions were usually performed by a herald.
Tali: Naturally.
Princess Talius’s expression softened, and beneath her composure Tali saw a trace of the fear that had haunted the dreams.
Princess Talius: Imperius Vhal was a tyrant. He considered affection a weakness and obedience the purest form of devotion. He did not wish to marry me because he cared for me. The Celestaran light was sacred to many worlds. By making me his consort, he would have transformed conquest into legitimacy.
Tali: And you didn’t love him.
Princess Talius: I despised him.
Tali: Good. I was worried this was going to get complicated.
Princess Talius: It was already complicated.
Tali: Right. Evil fiancé. Giant monsters. Civilizations burning. Continue.
Princess Talius looked down at her hands.
Princess Talius: I could not accept the marriage. I also believed that rejecting it publicly would trigger immediate war. My advisers insisted that millions of lives depended upon my cooperation. Some begged me to endure it for the survival of our worlds.
Tali: That’s horrible.
Princess Talius: I tried to convince myself they were right. I stood through the preparations. I wore the ceremonial armor. I entered the stellar chamber where the union was to be declared.
The walls of the supply room seemed to dim as the memory entered Tali’s mind.
She saw the immense chamber again, clearer than before. Celestaran banners hung beside the dark organic standards of the Bio Dominion. Princess Talius stood alone beneath a crown-shaped arch of light. Across from her waited a tall figure hidden inside black living armor. Red veins pulsed beneath its surface, and several attendants carried weapons that seemed grown rather than forged.
Tali felt Princess Talius’s revulsion as though it belonged to her.
Princess Talius: Then Imperius Vhal spoke to me privately. He explained what would happen after the ceremony. Celestaran protectors would be placed under Dominion command. Independent worlds would be absorbed. Those who resisted would be remade through biological conversion.
Tali: Remade?
Princess Talius: The creatures you call kaiju are only one result of their science. The Dominion reshapes living beings into weapons, laborers, and vessels. Imperius intended to use our union to gain access to every world that trusted Celestara.
The vision broke.
Tali’s anger replaced her earlier disbelief.
Tali: So you ran.
Princess Talius: Yes.
Tali: During the wedding?
Princess Talius: Shortly before the final declaration.
Tali: How shortly?
Princess Talius: The herald had already begun reading our titles.
Tali covered her face with both hands.
Tali: You left Space Satan at the altar.
Princess Talius: There was no altar.
Tali: Stop correcting that part! That's not the important part! Get off that part!
Outside the supply room door, Jack leaned closer.
Jack: Did she say Space Satan?
Travis: I’m beginning to regret listening.
Jack: I’m not. This is incredible.
Inside, Tali rose from the crate and began pacing.
Tali: Let me make sure I understand. The Bio Dominion sent monsters to Earth because their terrifying royal groom got dumped.
Princess Talius: The situation involves political control over several star systems.
Tali: But emotionally, he got dumped.
Princess Talius: ...That may be a factor.
Tali: We’re being invaded by the universe’s angriest rejected boyfriend.
Princess Talius: Imperius Vhal does not experience rejection in a healthy manner.
Tali: I figured that out when giant monsters started destroying the city.
Princess Talius moved closer, her holographic form trembling slightly.
Princess Talius: Earth was never meant to become involved. I chose it because the planet was beyond Dominion territory and possessed no known strategic importance at the time. My vessel was damaged during my escape. The creatures that followed were scattered biological weapons from the pursuit fleet. I believed I had drawn them away from the populated systems.
Tali: Instead, you brought them here.
Princess Talius: Yes.
There was no excuse in her voice. No attempt to soften the truth.
Tali stopped pacing.
Tali: Why didn’t you tell me?
Princess Talius: Because I was ashamed.
The answer struck harder than any grand explanation could have.
Princess Talius had always sounded regal and distant, even when confused by Tali’s behavior. Now she seemed painfully small.
Princess Talius: I fled because I could not surrender myself to a tyrant. I told myself I was preventing war by drawing the Dominion away. Instead, my absence gave them the justification they wanted. They punished worlds that had supported me. They accused my allies of helping me escape. Many suffered because I chose to leave alone.
Tali’s dreams returned to her: civilians running beneath burning skies, soldiers trying to hold evacuation gates, and Malice fighting through a storm of monsters.
Tali: Malice was there.
Princess Talius: Yes.
Tali: You left her behind.
Princess Talius closed her eyes.
Princess Talius: Yes.
The door suddenly swung inward, and Travis and Jack fell into the room together. Jack landed shoulder first against a box of emergency flares while Travis barely managed to catch himself on a shelf.
Tali looked down at them without surprise.
Tali: I told you not to listen.
Travis: The door opened unexpectedly!
Jack: Because he was leaning on it.
Travis: You were leaning on me!
Jack: Lots of leaning.
Travis stood and tried to recover what remained of his dignity.
Travis: Putting aside the fact that you apparently have an alien princess living inside you—
Tali: You knew I was connected to Ultrawoman Talius.
Travis: I think you knew I suspected you were hiding something. I did not expect interstellar royal scandal.
Jack: I did.
Travis: No, you didn’t.
Jack: Yeah...I didn't.
Tali: Normally, this is the part where we'd wipe your memories.
Travis: You've done that before?!
Tali: I was really bad at hiding my secret.
Jack: That explains a lot of things!
Travis: No it doesn't, Jack. You'd wake up with wet pants regardless.
Jack: HEY!
The command room alarm began blaring before Travis could answer.
A red light flashed through the open doorway.
Jack glanced toward the ceiling.
Jack: Is that the normal alarm or the one we’re supposed to panic about?
Travis: They are all alarms we’re supposed to panic about!
They hurried back into the command room. The main screen showed an energy spike moving through the eastern district. Unlike the unstable readings produced by ordinary kaiju, this signal rose and fell in a smooth, deliberate rhythm.
Tali’s wristband began glowing in response.
Princess Talius’s hologram vanished, but her voice remained in Tali’s mind.
Princess Talius: Malice.
Tali: I figured.
Travis looked between Tali and the monitor.
Travis: You know what that is?
Tali: Unfortunately.
Jack: Is she the angry blonde from the pageant?
Tali stared at him.
Tali: How did you know that?
Jack: I was...looking at her...a lot.
Travis: Sounds about right.
Jack: Hey, it worked out in this case! We're a great team. Tali, we have chemistry!
Tali: We do not have chemistry.
Jack: I didn’t say romantic chemistry. Sometimes two people have the chemistry of gasoline and a lit match.
Tali grabbed her jacket.
Tali: I’m going to find her.
Travis: We’re coming with you.
Tali: No.
Travis: Tali, you just revealed that a hostile alien organization may be targeting Earth because the princess inside your body ran away from a forced marriage. I am not letting you walk into another alien confrontation alone.
Tali: You can barely fight the printer when it jams.
Travis: I'm going to take a bat to that printer, but that's not important right now.
Jack: I’ll come too.
Tali: You hid behind Travis during the last monster attack.
Jack: I was protecting his back.
Travis: You were gripping my shoulders and screaming!
Tali sighed.
Tali: Follow the signal, but stay far enough away that you don’t get vaporized.
Jack: That should be the EDF motto.
The signal led them away from downtown and toward an abandoned transit terminal built above the old river district. The terminal had been closed for years, leaving rusted tracks stretching between empty platforms. Wind moved through shattered windows, carrying the distant sound of traffic from the active parts of the city.
Tali entered first.
Marcy stood near the edge of the platform, dressed in a dark coat over ordinary clothes. Her blonde hair moved gently in the breeze. She no longer carried the polished smile she had worn during the pageant. The expression waiting for Tali was colder and far more honest.
Travis and Jack remained near the stairwell, attempting to appear hidden despite being clearly visible behind a cracked information kiosk.
Tali stopped several yards from Marcy.
Tali: I know why they’re coming.
Marcy: How wonderful. The princess finally found the courage to confess.
Tali: She was supposed to marry Imperius Vhal.
Marcy’s mouth tightened at the name.
Marcy: Supposed to be handed to him, you mean.
Tali: She ran because he was going to use her to conquer other worlds.
Marcy: I know why she ran.
Tali: Then you understand why she did it.
Marcy: Because she's a coward who abandoned her people!
Tali felt Princess Talius draw back inside her, as though hiding from the accusation.
Tali: You came all the way to Earth because you want to drag her back?
Marcy’s eyes widened with genuine offense.
Marcy: Do you honestly believe I would deliver her to that creature?
Tali: You spent our first real conversation insulting me, and our second one threatening to fight me. Your intentions have not been easy to read.
Marcy: I have no intention of returning Talius to the Dominion.
Tali: Then what do you want?
Marcy stepped closer.
Marcy: I want her to stop running.
The words carried enough force that Tali took a small step back.
Marcy: I opposed the marriage before she ever entered that chamber. I warned her that Imperius Vhal would never honor the agreement. I told her the Dominion would use her name to place chains around every world that trusted us.
Tali: She knew that.
Marcy: Eventually. After months of allowing frightened advisers to tell her that sacrificing herself was noble.
Tali: She was trapped.
Marcy: We were all trapped.
Tali: You speak as if you ARE her.
Marcy: That's the bond we share. That's our arrangement. She's given me this power, so I can do what must be done, and in return she'll allow me to help my Uncle Heimrich.
Tali: Uncle Heimrich? She's willing to give some Earth scientist the up close and personal treatment to harness the Ultra power just because Talius ran?
Marcy’s eyes flashed red.
The abandoned lights above them flickered in response to her anger.
Marcy: She fled without telling me. Without telling any of us. The first warning we received was the Dominion fleet entering our skies and accusing the Celestaran guard of abducting their intended consort.
Tali: She thought leaving alone would protect you.
Marcy: She thought wrong.
The answer was sharp, but pain trembled beneath it.
Marcy: Worlds are being threatened unless I bring her in.
Tali’s stomach tightened.
Tali: That wasn’t her fault. He chose to do those things.
Marcy: Yes. The tyrant is responsible for his tyranny. That does not erase the fact that she abandoned everyone who would have fought beside her.
Princess Talius’s voice whispered within Tali.
Princess Talius: She is right.
Tali: Stop that.
Marcy tilted her head.
Marcy: Stop what?
Tali: Not you. Her.
Marcy: Still hiding inside you, is she?
Tali: She nearly died when she reached Earth.
Marcy: And rather than face what followed her, she merged with a human who had no understanding of the war.
Tali: I volunteered.
Marcy: You volunteered for power, not responsibility.
Tali opened her mouth, then stopped.
Behind the kiosk, Jack whispered to Travis.
Jack: She got her there.
Travis: Quiet.
Jack: I’m emotionally invested.
Travis: ...It's like a good soap opera.
Jack: Right?
Tali pointed at Marcy.
Tali: I didn’t know what I was agreeing to, but I have still fought every monster that came here. I have protected people. I’ve nearly been crushed, burned, bitten, blasted, and publicly humiliated. I am not hiding.
Marcy: You are defending a coward.
The word struck through Tali’s restraint.
Her wristband flared blue.
Tali: Don’t call her that.
Marcy: Why? Because the truth hurts her feelings?
Tali: Because she was terrified and alone.
Marcy: She was never alone. That is what she refused to understand.
Marcy’s body began radiating crimson light.
Tali held up both hands.
Tali: Are we really doing this?
Marcy: I came here to see whether anything of Talius remained besides excuses.
Tali: You could have asked.
Marcy: You would have made a joke.
Tali: I make jokes when people threaten me. It’s part of my charm.
Marcy: You possess very little charm.
Tali: All right. Now we’re doing this.
The blue stone in Tali’s wristband erupted with light. Energy spiraled around her, lifting her from the platform as armor formed over her body. Red, blue, white, and gold spread across her transformed shape while her glowing eyes opened within the light.
Across from her, crimson energy folded around Marcy. Her human form vanished beneath darker armor, its silver surfaces cut by red lines and sharp black edges.
Ultrawoman Talius and Ultrawoman Malice faced each other at human scale.
Malice attacked first.
Her fist struck Talius across the jaw and sent her sliding along the platform. Talius caught herself against a pillar and immediately ducked as Malice’s second strike shattered the concrete above her head.
Talius swept Malice’s legs, but Malice twisted in the air and landed upright.
Ultrawoman Talius: You don't understand my situation!
Ultrawoman Malice: You never let me try!
Malice drove forward with a series of punches. Talius blocked the first two, absorbed the third against her shoulder, and caught Malice’s wrist before the fourth could connect. She pulled Malice forward and drove a knee into her midsection.
Malice responded by striking Talius’s chest crystal with her palm.
The impact sent a pulse through Tali’s entire body. Her vision flashed with Princess Talius’s memories: Malice standing beside her beneath a sky crowded with Bio Dominion ships, both of them exhausted and wounded, refusing to retreat.
Talius released her grip.
Malice kicked her through the wall of the terminal.
The fight spilled outside into the abandoned rail yard. Crimson and blue energy collided among rusting trains and weed-covered tracks. Travis and Jack hurried down the stairs after them, only to stop when the two Ultrawomen began to grow.
Their bodies expanded above the terminal, towering over the river district as the ground trembled beneath their feet.
Jack looked up until his neck hurt.
Jack: I liked this argument better when they were normal sized.
Travis: Me too.
Jack: You not so secretly love the giant woman.
Travis: Shut up! Get to the Jeep.
Giant Talius staggered backward as Malice drove a shoulder into her and carried her across the rail yard. They crashed through an empty maintenance structure, sending metal panels and concrete fragments across the tracks.
Talius pushed Malice away and swung a punch. Malice leaned beneath it, caught Talius around the waist, and threw her onto the riverbank.
Ultrawoman Malice: Your power is enormous, yet you use it like a panicked child swinging a stick.
Talius rolled away from a descending stomp.
Ultrawoman Talius: I’ve had these powers for a few months! Give me a break!
Malice fired a narrow crimson beam. Talius raised her forearm guards, but the blast pushed her through the earth and into the river. Water surged around her legs as she fought to remain upright.
Malice advanced.
Ultrawoman Malice: Talius possessed enough strength to challenge the Bio Dominion before she fled. She could have united the Celestaran guard. She could have exposed the marriage for what it was.
Talius blocked a kick and shoved Malice away.
Ultrawoman Talius: She thought staying would get everyone killed!
Ultrawoman Malice: We were dying anyway!
Malice’s shout echoed across the river.
For the first time, her disciplined anger broke completely.
She rushed Talius, and the two locked arms, straining against each other as blue and red light crackled between their bodies.
Ultrawoman Malice: I did not need her to surrender herself. I needed her to stand beside me.
Talius stared into Malice’s glowing eyes.
The force in Malice’s grip began to weaken.
Ultrawoman Malice: I would have fought Imperius Vhal. Every protector who remained loyal would have fought him. She never gave us that choice.
Tali’s anger faded beneath a sudden wave of grief that did not belong entirely to her.
Princess Talius rose inside her consciousness, no longer hiding.
When Talius spoke, two voices emerged together.
Ultrawoman Talius: I believed I was saving you.
Malice went still.
Ultrawoman Malice: Talius.
Ultrawoman Talius: Imperius promised that resistance would bring annihilation. I believed that if I disappeared, the Bio Dominion would pursue me and leave our worlds behind.
Ultrawoman Malice: You believed his promise?
Ultrawoman Talius: I believed in his obsession with me.
Ultrawoman Malice: You should have believed in us.
The words were quieter than anything Malice had said before.
Talius loosened her grip.
Ultrawoman Talius: I never stopped believing in you. I was afraid that everyone who loved me would die for my refusal.
Ultrawoman Malice: And I was afraid you would face him alone.
For several moments, the two Ultrawomen stood in the river without attacking. Water moved around their knees while emergency sirens sounded in the distance.
Tali’s voice separated from Princess Talius’s.
Ultrawoman Talius: I’m not the woman who left you.
Ultrawoman Malice: You carry her.
Ultrawoman Talius: I carry her memories, her power, and apparently her terrible romantic decisions. I’m still Tali.
Malice regarded her in silence.
Ultrawoman Talius: I’m not marrying Imperius Vhal either, by the way.
Ultrawoman Malice: No one asked you.
Ultrawoman Talius: He seems like the kind of man who would consider the merger a kink.
Ultrawoman Malice: That is disturbingly possible.
Talius lowered her arms.
Ultrawoman Talius: You don’t want her dragged back.
Ultrawoman Malice: I would destroy this planet before allowing the Bio Dominion to claim her.
Talius stared at her.
Ultrawoman Talius: We need to work on your temper.
Ultrawoman Malice: The point is that I oppose the marriage.
Ultrawoman Talius: Good. Then why are we fighting each other?
Ultrawoman Malice: Because she fled.
Ultrawoman Talius: We covered that. She made a desperate choice while being threatened. You’re allowed to be angry. You’re not allowed to keep punching me every time you feel abandoned.
Malice’s eyes narrowed.
Ultrawoman Malice: You are remarkably insolent for someone I threw through a building.
Ultrawoman Talius: I’ve been thrown through enough buildings that it doesn’t have the same impact anymore.
Malice looked toward Metro City.
Ultrawoman Malice: The Bio Dominion will not stop. Imperius Vhal does not consider Talius a person capable of refusal. He considers her stolen property.
Ultrawoman Talius: That alone makes me want to punch him.
Ultrawoman Malice: You would lose.
Ultrawoman Talius: That makes me want to punch you.
Malice turned back to her.
Ultrawoman Malice: You need to focus. She has the power, you just need to channel it.
Ultrawoman Talius: Help me.
Malice hesitated.
Ultrawoman Malice: I have allies.
Talius immediately became suspicious.
Ultrawoman Talius: What kind of allies?
Ultrawoman Malice: An Earth organization called Axis Nova.
Talius’s shoulders dropped.
Ultrawoman Talius: The guys that bought Havok? They're bad news. Nobody with good intentions calls themselves Axis Nova.
Malice crossed her arms.
Ultrawoman Malice: Axis Nova provided me with a human identity, and she trusts her Uncle, who is a member of this organization.
Ultrawoman Talius: You didn't think she might be biased?
Ultrawoman Malice: Her intentions are pure.
Ultrawoman Talius: That is how people get manipulated.
Ultrawoman Malice: Are you saying I have been tricked?
Ultrawoman Talius: I'm saying if you had horns, I'd call you a "gulli-bull".
Ultrawoman Malice: I have no idea what that means.
Despite herself, Malice’s mouth seemed to twitch toward the beginning of a smile.
The moment ended when both of their chest crystals flashed at once.
The river began to vibrate.
Talius and Malice looked upward.
Clouds gathered above Metro City with unnatural speed, circling a point directly over the eastern skyline. Crimson lightning spread through them in branching patterns. The daylight dimmed as though something immense had moved between Earth and the sun.
At EDF headquarters, every functioning alarm began sounding simultaneously.
Travis gripped the central console as the building shook.
Travis: Tell me the scanner is malfunctioning again.
Jack stared at the rapidly climbing energy display.
Jack: I don’t think it knows how to display a number this high.
The final digits disappeared and were replaced by a blinking warning: SCALE EXCEEDED
Travis activated the citywide emergency channel.
Travis: All EDF personnel, initiate immediate evacuation protocols for the eastern and central districts. This is not a drill.
Jack: Should we mention what’s coming?
Travis looked at the screen.
A dark shape had appeared inside the clouds.
Travis: I don’t know what’s coming.
Above the city, the clouds opened.
A vast red aperture formed in the sky, its edges composed of twisting organic structures that resembled bone and muscle. The portal widened until it stretched across several miles. Through it lay a starless darkness filled with moving silhouettes.
Talius stared upward.
Ultrawoman Talius: That your bud
Malice’s confidence vanished.
Ultrawoman Malice: No.
Something began descending through the portal.
At first, Talius mistook it for a ship. Its body was broad enough to obscure entire sections of the sky, covered in overlapping plates of black armor. Crimson channels pulsed between those plates like veins beneath skin. As it emerged, enormous limbs unfolded from its underside, each tipped with claws large enough to crush buildings.
Its back carried towers of living tissue that opened and closed like breathing weapons. Smaller creatures clung to its armored shell, moving across it in swarms. A crown-shaped structure rose from its head, framing a central eye of burning red light.
The creature was several times larger than any monster Talius had faced.
Even Malice looked small beneath it.
The Bio Dominion siege organism fell from the portal and struck the land beyond Metro City.
The impact turned the horizon white.
A second later, the shockwave reached the city.
Buildings swayed. Windows burst in glittering waves. Cars were pushed sideways across streets. Talius and Malice braced themselves in the river as a wall of air and dust moved over them.
At EDF headquarters, Travis and Jack were thrown from their feet. Consoles sparked. The main screen flickered out before switching to emergency power.
Jack slowly raised his head.
Jack: I would like to formally resign from Earth.
Travis pulled himself back to the console.
Travis: Resignation denied.
Jack: You didn’t even consider it.
Outside the city, the siege organism lifted its head.
The sound it produced was deeper than a roar. It moved through the ground, rattled the foundations of every building, and vibrated inside the bones of everyone who heard it.
Malice stared at the creature.
Ultrawoman Malice: That is a Dominion world-breaker.
Ultrawoman Talius: I don’t like that name.
Ultrawoman Malice: It is designed to crush organized resistance before occupation fleets arrive. Its internal colonies can produce smaller combat organisms. Entire planetary armies have failed to stop one.
Talius looked at her.
Ultrawoman Talius: You could have stopped after the first sentence.
The world-breaker’s chest began to open.
Layers of armor separated around a hollow chamber filled with red light. Within that light appeared the crest Tali had seen in Princess Talius’s memories: a black crown wrapped around a living star.
The Bio Dominion emblem.
A voice entered Tali’s mind.
It was calm, masculine, and filled with the casual certainty of someone who had never accepted refusal.
Bio Dominion Herald: Princess Talius. Your absence has been tolerated beyond reason.
Tali clutched the sides of her head.
Malice turned toward her.
Ultrawoman Malice: What do you hear?
Bio Dominion Herald: The Sovereign Heir has preserved your place beside him. Return willingly, and this world may retain a measure of its current form.
Talius’s hands curled into fists.
Ultrawoman Talius: Tell your Sovereign Heir I’m not interested.
The creature’s red eye narrowed.
Bio Dominion Herald: The human vessel is irrelevant. The princess belongs to the Bio Dominion by sacred compact.
Princess Talius’s fear surged through Tali, but it no longer controlled her. Tali felt it, accepted it, and stood straighter.
Ultrawoman Talius: She doesn’t belong to anyone.
Malice moved beside her.
Ultrawoman Malice: On that matter, we agree.
The world-breaker raised one colossal limb.
The smaller organisms across its body began releasing themselves, spreading wings and falling toward Metro City like a living storm.
Talius glanced at Malice.
Ultrawoman Talius: You still think she was a coward?
Malice’s crimson eyes remained fixed on the approaching swarm.
Ultrawoman Malice: Ask me after we survive.
The world-breaker opened its mouth.
A sphere of dark red energy gathered between its jaws, growing brighter with every passing second. The clouds above it spiraled inward, drawn toward the weapon.
EDF headquarters filled with warning sirens.
Travis stared at the projected path of the attack.
It led directly into Metro City.
Travis: Tali...wherever you are…
Jack stood beside him, for once without a joke.
Jack: She’ll be there.
Outside the city, Talius raised her forearm shields. Malice spread her hands as crimson blades formed along her wrists.
The swarm descended.
The world-breaker’s energy reached critical mass.
Two Ultrawomen stood between the Bio Dominion and Metro City, newly allied, still angry with each other, and utterly unprepared for what had arrived.
Talius lowered herself into a fighting stance.
Ultrawoman Talius: All right, Malice. We need to stop this, together.
Malice took her place at Talius’s shoulder.
Ultrawoman Malice: Try to keep up.
The world-breaker fired.
The screen vanished into crimson light.

Ultrawoman Talius – Episode Nine: The Three-Minute Miracle
The enormous Bio Dominion monster stood beyond Metro City, its massive body blotting out the morning sun as crimson energy gathered inside its open jaws. The creature had barely finished emerging from the portal when it began preparing an attack powerful enough to wipe out the entire eastern district. Its black armor shifted and expanded with each pulse of energy, while hundreds of smaller organisms crawled across its body.
Standing between the monster and the city were Ultrawoman Talius and Ultrawoman Malice. Only minutes earlier, the two had been trying to beat each other senseless. Now they were facing an enemy so enormous that even their combined strength might not be enough to stop it.
Talius looked toward Malice, whose black and crimson armor glowed beneath the darkened sky. Her long blonde hair moved in the powerful wind being drawn toward the monster's mouth. To everyone else they began to make strange, alien noises. To them, they understood perfectly.
Ultrawoman Talius: Okay, so what's the plan?
Ultrawoman Malice: We stop it before it destroys the city.
Ultrawoman Talius: Wonderful! You sound exactly like Travis! I was hoping for something a little more specific!
Ultrawoman Malice: You take the left. I'll take the right. We strike its head together and force it to discharge away from the city.
Ultrawoman Talius: Now that's a plan!
They charged.
Despite the world breaker's enormous size, its attention remained fixed on the two Celestaran warriors. It had been sent to retrieve Princess Talius, and destroying her human refuge was apparently an acceptable method of persuasion.
Talius leapt first, planting one foot against the creature's massive foreleg before launching herself toward its head. Malice followed from the opposite side, crimson energy gathering around her fist.
Ultrawoman Talius: HYAAAAH!
Talius struck the left side of the monster's jaw while Malice drove her fist into the right. The simultaneous impacts forced its head upward just as the charged energy erupted from its mouth.
A gigantic crimson beam tore through the clouds instead of Metro City.
The blast punched a hole through the swirling darkness overhead, revealing a brief glimpse of blue sky before the clouds began closing again. The two Ultrawomen landed on opposite sides of the monster as its roar shook the countryside.
Talius threw up her arms in triumph.
Ultrawoman Talius: HA! DID YOU SEE THAT?!
Malice grabbed her by the shoulder.
Ultrawoman Malice: Don't celebrate yet!
The world breaker's tail swept toward them. Malice shoved Talius aside and jumped over the approaching mass of armored flesh, but Talius wasn't quite fast enough. The tail struck her across the chest and sent her flying through an abandoned industrial storage building.
Metal beams buckled beneath her as she landed on her back.
Ultrawoman Talius: OWWWW!
She struggled to sit up, pulling a twisted steel support away from her shoulder.
Ultrawoman Talius: Okay! Definitely stronger than the crab!
Inside her consciousness, Princess Talius spoke with considerable urgency.
Princess Talius: Tali, that is a Dominion world breaker. You cannot overpower it through ordinary physical combat.
Tali: NOW you tell me?!
Princess Talius: I attempted to warn you during its arrival.
Tali: You were too busy having a panic attack about your fiancé!
Princess Talius: He is not my fiancé anymore!
Tali: PLEASE take that up with him!
Outside the ruined warehouse, Malice had already resumed the attack. She ran toward the monster's right foreleg and struck its knee joint with a powerful kick. The creature staggered slightly, allowing her to follow with a series of punches against the armored plates protecting its side.
Malice knew the Dominion's biological weapons better than Talius did. Their armor could withstand an enormous amount of punishment, but it still required flexible joints to move. She concentrated on those gaps rather than wasting energy against the thickest plating.
The monster brought one enormous claw down toward her. Malice rolled beneath it, planted both feet against its wrist, and pushed upward with all her strength. The creature's foreleg lifted just enough for her to slip underneath.
She brought her hands together and formed a bright crimson energy blade.
Ultrawoman Malice: MALICE SLASH!
The blade cut across the joint behind its knee.
Black fluid sprayed from the wound, and the monster stumbled sideways.
Ultrawoman Malice: TALIUS! THE JOINTS!
Talius emerged from the warehouse and saw the damaged leg.
Ultrawoman Talius: Oh! You mean we can actually hurt this thing?!
Ultrawoman Malice: YES! NOW MOVE!
Talius ran forward, using the monster's lowered leg as a step. She jumped onto its thigh, climbed across the overlapping plates, and delivered a double-handed chop directly into the wound Malice had created.
The world breaker roared.
Talius pulled herself upright, grabbed a protruding ridge of armor, and struck the exposed joint again. She was preparing a third blow when several of the smaller creatures clinging to its back sprang toward her.
They resembled armored insects, each roughly the size of a truck, with four hooked limbs and glowing red mandibles.
Ultrawoman Talius: AHH! IT HAS BUGS!
One creature clamped onto her shoulder. Another wrapped itself around her forearm. She grabbed the first and ripped it free, hurling it toward the open countryside before smashing the second against the monster's armored leg.
More creatures detached themselves from the world breaker's body.
Malice looked upward.
Ultrawoman Malice: Those are its brood soldiers! Don't let them reach the city!
Talius looked behind her.
The creatures were no longer attacking just the Ultrawomen. Dozens were taking flight, their armored wings carrying them toward Metro City.
Ultrawoman Talius: Oh, COME ON! We already have a giant monster! Why does it need little ones?!
The world breaker took advantage of her distraction. Its wounded leg kicked outward, catching Talius in the stomach and throwing her off its body.
She landed heavily beside Malice, sending a cloud of dirt across the road.
Ultrawoman Malice: Get up!
Ultrawoman Talius: I'm trying!
Malice reached down, grabbed Talius's hand, and pulled her to her feet.
Ultrawoman Malice: We deal with the brood first. If they reach the city, the EDF won't be able to contain them.
Talius looked at the approaching swarm.
For the first time since their argument at the railyard, the two Ultrawomen understood exactly what they needed to do without fighting over it.
Ultrawoman Talius: I'll take the ones heading downtown. Keep the big guy busy!
Ultrawoman Malice: Don't waste your energy! Your Color Timer is already weakening!
Talius glanced down.
The blue crystal on her chest had begun to pulse.
Her earlier fight with Malice had consumed more energy than she realized.
Ultrawoman Talius: ...That's probably not good.
Ultrawoman Malice: Three minutes is all we can safely maintain these giant forms on Earth without replenishing our energy. We've already used much of that time fighting each other!
Talius looked at Malice's chest.
Her crimson crystal was pulsing as well.
Ultrawoman Talius: So we're both running out of time?!
Ultrawoman Malice: Exactly!
Ultrawoman Talius: Great! Our first team up, and we're already losing!
A brood soldier swooped toward them.
Both Ultrawomen turned and punched it simultaneously.
The creature exploded into fragments of black armor.
Malice looked at Talius.
Ultrawoman Malice: Perhaps not.
At EDF headquarters, the emergency monitors were displaying live footage from cameras positioned around the eastern district. The images showed two enormous armored women fighting the world breaker beyond the city while smaller monsters advanced toward the populated areas.
Travis stood at the main console, attempting to coordinate evacuation crews, police, firefighters, and the military's remaining kaiju defense units.
Jack sat beside him, desperately trying to track the smaller creatures.
Travis: How many are coming?!
Jack: Twenty seven! No, thirty two! Wait, some of them are splitting apart!
Travis: Splitting apart?!
Jack: I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY THERE ARE ANYMORE!
Travis looked at the display and rubbed his forehead.
Travis: All right. We need to establish a defensive perimeter. Send every available EDF vehicle toward the evacuation routes. Tell the military to concentrate on those smaller organisms and leave the giant monster to our uh...two big guns.
Jack began transmitting the orders.
Jack: I can't believe we're saying that like it's normal.
Travis: What's that?
Jack: Leave the giant monster to those giantesses over there.
The two watched as Talius leapt into the air, extending both arms toward the approaching swarm.
A brilliant blue light formed around her wrists.
Jack: Hey! She's doing the thing!
Travis: What thing?!
Jack: The laser thing! The giant alien lady laser thing!
Travis: JUST WATCH THE SCREEN!
Above the outskirts, Talius spread her arms and released a series of concentrated energy bolts. Rather than firing one enormous beam, she sent smaller blasts into the swarm, striking the creatures individually.
Three exploded. Another lost its wings and fell into an empty field. Two more turned toward her instead of continuing toward the city.
Talius smiled beneath her glowing eyes.
Ultrawoman Talius: That's right! Over here! Leave those people alone!
She flew toward the river with the remaining creatures pursuing her. Once they were clear of the populated streets, she twisted around in midair and fired another spread of energy bolts.
The resulting explosions lit up the sky.
From the ground, Jack watched the swarm disappear from the scanner.
Jack: She's got them! She's actually got them!
Travis looked at another monitor.
Travis: And the other one is still fighting that enormous thing by herself.
The celebration ended.
Malice was having considerably less success than Talius.
With the brood soldiers distracted, the world breaker focused its full attention on her. Every time she attempted to attack its injured leg, the creature shifted its weight and brought one of its enormous claws down to crush her. She managed to evade the first three attacks, but the fourth caught her across the shoulder and drove her into the ground.
Malice rolled onto her back as another claw descended. She raised both hands and caught it, straining beneath the creature's tremendous weight.
Ultrawoman Malice: NNNNGH!
The ground beneath her cracked. Her arms trembled as she desperately tried to prevent the claw from crushing her.
She twisted her body sideways and allowed the massive limb to slam into the earth beside her. With the pressure relieved, Malice scrambled to her feet and jumped onto the creature's arm.
Using its armored plates as footholds, she ran toward its shoulder.
Ultrawoman Malice: Let's see how well you fight without those weapons!
She leapt upward, twisted in the air, and brought her heel down onto one of the breathing towers protruding from its back.
The tower bent beneath the blow.
Malice followed with a second kick, breaking open the protective armor and exposing a pulsing cluster of organic tissue.
The world breaker shrieked and thrashed its body.
Malice grabbed the broken tower to keep herself from falling. Looking into the wound, she realized the tissue was rapidly contracting, forcing hot crimson vapor out through the damaged opening.
Ultrawoman Malice: So that's how you regulate your energy!
She raised her hand and gathered crimson energy into a narrow blade.
Ultrawoman Malice: MALICE SLASH!
The blade struck the exposed organ.
The tower exploded in a shower of black fluid and red sparks.
The world breaker staggered forward, releasing an agonized roar that shook the surrounding hills. Its enormous body tilted toward the ground, but before Malice could capitalize, several armored tendrils burst from the damaged structure and wrapped around her limbs.
Ultrawoman Malice: What?!
The tendrils tightened and pulled her off its back.
Malice struggled as the creature brought her around in front of its face. Its massive central eye stared directly at her while the other breathing towers expanded.
Bio Dominion Herald: Malice. Former guardian of the Celestaran throne. Your betrayal has been recorded.
Ultrawoman Malice: Tell Imperius Vhal he can record this!
Malice fired a crimson blast directly into the creature's eye.
The blast struck a transparent protective membrane and dispersed harmlessly across its surface.
Ultrawoman Malice: ...Oh.
The world breaker hurled her toward the ground.
She struck the abandoned rail depot with enough force to collapse several storage sheds. The creature raised its claw and brought it down upon her before she could recover.
Malice caught the impact with both arms, but the weight pinned her against the concrete.
Her chest crystal changed from crimson to a rapidly blinking red.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Malice looked down in alarm.
Ultrawoman Malice: No! Not yet!
The world breaker opened its jaws.
An energy blast began forming directly above her.
Malice tried to push the claw away, but her strength was fading. Each pulse of her Color Timer sent a painful vibration through her chest.
Ultrawoman Malice: TALIUS!
A brilliant streak of blue and gold crossed the sky.
Talius came flying toward the monster with one leg extended.
Ultrawoman Talius: ULTRA FLYING KICK!
Her boot struck the side of the world breaker's head and knocked its aim toward the mountains. The creature fired instinctively, sending its enormous beam through the empty countryside instead of into Malice.
Talius landed beside the pinned Ultrawoman and immediately seized the creature's claw.
Ultrawoman Talius: GIVE ME A HAND HERE!
Ultrawoman Malice: I'M THE ONE WHO NEEDS A HAND!
Talius braced her legs and pushed upward. Malice joined her, forcing the enormous limb away from the ground. The moment there was enough space, Malice slipped free and rolled beside Talius.
Together, they shoved the claw away.
The world breaker backed up a step as both Ultrawomen rose to face it.
Ultrawoman Talius: See? Teamwork!
Ultrawoman Malice: You nearly let it kill me!
Ultrawoman Talius: I was saving the city from its disgusting flying babies!
Ultrawoman Malice: They're brood soldiers!
Ultrawoman Talius: WHATEVER!
Another low roar interrupted their argument.
The world-breaker's damaged knee had begun covering itself with new armor. Thick biological plates grew over the wound, sealing the opening Malice had created earlier.
Ultrawoman Talius: Oh, that's just cheating!
Malice studied the creature with growing concern.
Ultrawoman Malice: It's adapting. Every time we strike the same location, it reinforces the armor. We won't be able to wear it down through ordinary attacks.
Talius glanced at Malice's blinking crystal.
Ultrawoman Talius: And we're both almost out of energy.
Her own crystal flickered red.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Talius groaned.
Ultrawoman Talius: I hate that sound.
Ultrawoman Malice: We need to destroy its central energy organ.
Ultrawoman Talius: Where's that?
Ultrawoman Malice: Beneath its chest armor. The plates open when it charges its main weapon, but we cannot get through its defenses while it's standing.
Ultrawoman Talius: So we knock it down.
Ultrawoman Malice: It's three times our size!
Talius looked up at the towering monster and considered their position.
The creature was enormous, but it had already shown that its balance could be disrupted by attacks against the leg joints. Its armor was growing stronger, which meant they would need something more than another punch or kick.
She turned toward the damaged breathing tower.
Ultrawoman Talius: You hurt that thing on its back pretty badly.
Ultrawoman Malice: I destroyed one of its energy vents.
Ultrawoman Talius: What happens if we break another?
Malice looked up.
Ultrawoman Malice: Its internal pressure would become unstable. It would have to open its remaining vents to prevent an overload.
Ultrawoman Talius: And that would make it vulnerable?
Ultrawoman Malice: For a few seconds, perhaps.
Talius clenched her fists.
Ultrawoman Talius: Then we've got our opening!
Malice stared at her.
Ultrawoman Malice: You really intend to climb that thing again?
Ultrawoman Talius: Nope. I'm going to throw you up there.
Malice's expression changed immediately.
Ultrawoman Malice: You are NOT throwing me!
Ultrawoman Talius: Oh, come on! You're the one who knows where to hit it!
Ultrawoman Malice: I am a Celestaran royal guardian, not a projectile!
Ultrawoman Talius: You're about to become one!
The world breaker roared and charged toward them.
Both Ultrawomen instinctively raised their arms.
Ultrawoman Talius: DUCK!
They dropped beneath its swinging claw. Talius grabbed Malice's wrist and pulled her toward the creature's flank.
Ultrawoman Talius: Trust me!
Ultrawoman Malice: That's what Princess Talius used to say!
Ultrawoman Talius: WELL, I'M SAYING IT NOW!
Malice allowed Talius to grab her forearm.
Ultrawoman Malice: Don't miss.
Ultrawoman Talius: No promises!
Talius planted her feet, twisted at the waist, and hurled Malice upward with all her remaining strength.
Malice soared above the world-breaker's shoulders, spinning once before landing against an intact energy tower. She wrapped her arms around the structure, pulled herself up, and summoned her crimson blade.
Ultrawoman Malice: MALICE SLASH!
The blade severed the tower at its base.
The creature convulsed.
A deep rumble spread through its body as crimson energy began leaking from the damaged structure. The remaining towers expanded, attempting to release the excess pressure.
The world breaker staggered backward.
Talius watched its legs buckle.
Ultrawoman Talius: IT'S WORKING!
But the creature refused to fall.
It slammed both forelegs into the earth and stabilized itself, while several armored tendrils emerged from its back to attack Malice.
Malice sliced through the first tendril, but the second wrapped around her ankle and yanked her away from the tower.
Ultrawoman Malice: TALIUS! NOW!
Talius knew exactly what she meant.
She charged toward the creature's injured leg and leapt, bringing both feet together.
Ultrawoman Talius: ULTRA DOUBLE KICK!
Her boots struck the weakened joint with a tremendous impact.
The world breaker's leg finally gave way.
Its entire body tilted to one side as the damaged limb folded beneath its weight. The giant creature crashed onto one knee, sending a shockwave across the countryside.
Malice freed herself from the tendril and jumped clear of its falling body.
Talius landed beside her.
The world breaker roared, trying to lift itself back onto its feet.
Both Ultrawomen looked toward the enormous armored chest.
The plates were beginning to separate.
Ultrawoman Malice: There! The central organ!
Ultrawoman Talius: LET'S FINISH IT!
They raised their arms.
Blue and crimson energy gathered around their forearms.
But before either could fire, the world breaker opened its central eye and unleashed a powerful shockwave.
The force struck both Ultrawomen and sent them flying backward.
Talius crashed through a rocky ridge. Malice struck the ground farther away, tumbling across the dirt before coming to rest.
The world breaker's chest armor snapped shut.
Its remaining vents contracted as the creature began recovering.
Talius struggled to rise.
Her Color Timer was blinking faster.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
She pushed against the ground, but her arms trembled and gave way.
Ultrawoman Talius: Come on... come on!
Inside her mind, Princess Talius spoke urgently.
Princess Talius: Tali, your energy is nearly exhausted. You must return to human form.
Tali: And let that thing destroy Metro City?!
Princess Talius: If your Color Timer goes dark, you may lose the ability to transform again. Your human body cannot survive the collapse of our Ultra energy.
Tali looked toward Metro City.
Beyond the ruined countryside, she could see the buildings where millions of people lived. She thought about the people she worked with, the ridiculous things Jack said every morning, and Travis trying desperately to keep the EDF functioning despite its inadequate resources.
She had never considered herself particularly brave before becoming Ultrawoman Talius. She had mostly been a normal young woman who happened to meet a desperate alien princess in the middle of the forest.
Yet every time a monster attacked, she had found herself running toward it.
Tali: I didn't agree to become Ultrawoman because I wanted to rule anything. I just thought it would be cool to have powers.
Princess Talius remained silent.
Tali: But I've got them now. And I can't just leave everybody behind because I'm scared.
Princess Talius: You are not required to sacrifice yourself for my mistakes.
Tali: I'm not doing it for your mistakes. I'm doing it because this is my home.
Talius planted one foot against the ground.
Slowly, she stood.
Across the battlefield, Malice was struggling with the same problem. Her Color Timer had begun producing a frantic warning tone, and her vision was becoming increasingly unstable.
She looked toward the world breaker and clenched her fists.
Memories of the Celestaran war returned to her: cities burning, soldiers falling, and Princess Talius disappearing into the stars.
Malice had spent years believing that Talius abandoned them because she was afraid to fight.
Now, watching the human who carried her power struggle to her feet, she understood.
Ultrawoman Malice: You really are an infuriating little human.
She forced herself upright.
Ultrawoman Malice: But perhaps you're exactly what she needed.
The two Ultrawomen slowly approached each other.
Both were exhausted. Their armor was scorched and covered in dirt, their movements noticeably slower.
They stood together facing the world-breaker.
Ultrawoman Talius: Got anything left?
Ultrawoman Malice: Enough for one more attack.
Ultrawoman Talius: Good. Because I'm fresh out of clever ideas.
Malice looked toward the injured monster.
Ultrawoman Malice: We must force its chest armor open and destroy the core before it adapts again.
Ultrawoman Talius: How? We can't even get near it without getting blasted.
Malice glanced toward the city.
Ultrawoman Malice: Perhaps we do not have to.
Back at EDF headquarters, Travis was watching the Ultrawomen's energy readings collapse.
The scanner displayed two rapidly decreasing signals.
Travis: Jack, their energy is dropping!
Jack stared at the monitor.
Jack: Yeah, I can see that. They're both flashing like Christmas decorations!
Travis: We need to do something!
Jack looked toward the military coordination screen.
Jack: What about those new kaiju missiles? The ones that killed the crab?
Travis shook his head.
Travis: They barely scratched this monster. The military already tried using them during the evacuation.
Jack: Well, what about aiming somewhere else?
Travis: Somewhere else?
Jack pointed at the creature's injured leg on the screen.
Jack: Look! That leg's all messed up! Every time the giant ladies hit it, the monster nearly falls over. What if we hit that instead?
Travis studied the footage.
The world breaker's wounded knee was heavily reinforced now, but the armor was still thinner along the rear of the joint.
An idea formed.
Travis: Jack, you're a genius!
Jack grinned.
Jack: I keep telling everybody that!
Travis: Don't let it go to your head. Get the military on the line!
He opened the emergency communications channel.
Travis: This is EDF Commander Travis requesting an immediate precision strike on the creature's damaged right knee joint. We need to destabilize it long enough for the Ultrawomen to finish the job!
A military officer responded through the speakers.
Officer: Commander, our missiles have proven ineffective against the target's main armor.
Travis: Then stop shooting at the main armor! Hit the damaged joint! Concentrate everything you've got on that one spot!
Officer: Understood. Preparing coordinated strike.
Travis turned back toward the monitors.
Travis: Come on, Tali. Give us one more chance.
Jack glanced at him.
Jack: You do realize you just called her Tali, right?
Travis froze.
Travis: No, I didn't.
Jack: Yeah, you did.
Travis: Keep watching the screen!
Outside Metro City, the world breaker finally rose to its full height again.
Its remaining energy towers glowed intensely as it began preparing another city destroying blast. The damaged structures along its back had sealed themselves, but the enormous creature was visibly struggling to maintain a stable energy flow.
Talius and Malice watched from the ground.
Ultrawoman Talius: Here it comes again!
Ultrawoman Malice: Wait.
A distant rumble reached them.
Several military jets passed overhead, followed by the sharp whistling of incoming missiles.
The world breaker turned toward the approaching weapons, but their flight paths carried them low across the terrain.
The first missile struck the weakened knee joint.
An explosion erupted along the creature's leg.
Two more missiles followed, striking the same location.
The reinforced armor began cracking.
The world breaker roared and attempted to shift its weight, but another volley struck before it could move.
Its wounded leg buckled.
The creature dropped onto one knee again.
Ultrawoman Talius: THE EDF! THEY DID IT!
Malice looked toward the exposed chest.
Ultrawoman Malice: This is our chance!
They charged together.
Malice leapt toward the creature's face, drawing its attention as Talius ran beneath its swinging arm. The world breaker attempted to strike Malice with its remaining claw, but she caught the blow with both hands and held it away from her body.
Ultrawoman Malice: TALIUS! GET TO THE CHEST!
Talius jumped onto the creature's lowered leg and climbed toward the enormous armored plates covering its central organ.
The plates began separating as the world-breaker prepared to fire.
Talius grabbed the edge of one plate with both hands.
Ultrawoman Talius: COME ON! OPEN UP!
She pulled with everything she had.
The plate resisted, its thick biological muscles attempting to force it shut.
Talius strained against it.
Her Color Timer flashed furiously.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Ultrawoman Talius: NNNNGH!
The armor shifted.
A narrow opening appeared.
Inside, a brilliant red energy organ pulsed beneath several layers of transparent tissue.
Talius looked directly into it.
Ultrawoman Talius: FOUND YOU!
The world breaker reacted immediately.
A blast of energy erupted from the exposed core and struck her in the chest, throwing her backward.
She fell toward the ground, but Malice released the creature's claw and caught her before she landed.
Both Ultrawomen staggered beneath the force of the impact.
Ultrawoman Malice: You damaged its shield!
Ultrawoman Talius: I DID?!
Ultrawoman Malice: The energy organ is exposed! We can destroy it!
Ultrawoman Talius: Then let's blast it!
Both Ultrawomen stepped away from the creature and planted their feet.
Malice raised her arms in front of her chest, forming a cross with her wrists. Crimson energy gathered around her forearms and flowed toward her hands.
Talius copied the stance, drawing brilliant blue light from her chest crystal into her arms.
For a brief moment, the two stood side by side in perfect synchronization.
Ultrawoman Malice: We must combine our power. One attack. One target.
Ultrawoman Talius: Together!
The world breaker opened its chest again.
The creature had finally recognized what they intended.
Its central organ released a torrent of crimson energy directly toward them.
Ultrawoman Malice: NOW!
Two beams of light erupted from their crossed arms.
Talius's brilliant blue beam and Malice's crimson beam spiraled together into a single, enormous stream of energy.
The combined attack struck the world-breaker's blast halfway between the combatants.
A tremendous explosion of light filled the battlefield.
Both Ultrawomen braced themselves as the opposing beams fought for dominance.
For several seconds, neither side could gain ground.
The energy collision sent shockwaves rolling across the surrounding countryside. Rocks shattered. The clouds above twisted into a spiral as the massive amount of power distorted the atmosphere.
Talius gritted her teeth.
Ultrawoman Talius: IT'S TOO STRONG!
Ultrawoman Malice: DON'T STOP!
The world breaker's beam began pushing them backward.
Both Ultrawomen slid across the ground, their feet digging deep trenches through the dirt.
Their Color Timers were now blinking so rapidly that the warning tones nearly merged into one continuous sound.
BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!
Talius could barely keep her arms raised.
Inside her mind, Princess Talius cried out.
Princess Talius: Tali! Your energy is collapsing! You cannot maintain this much longer!
Tali: I KNOW!
Princess Talius: You must release the attack!
Tali glanced toward Malice.
Her fellow Ultrawoman was trembling violently, but her beam remained steady.
Talius understood something important.
Malice was not fighting because she wanted to defeat Talius anymore. She was fighting because she had finally found her again.
And Tali was not going to let their reunion end here.
Tali: Princess...you spent all this time running because you thought nobody would help you.
Princess Talius fell silent.
Tali: Well, look who's standing next to us!
Talius pressed forward.
Ultrawoman Talius: MALICE! DON'T YOU DARE GIVE UP ON ME!
Malice turned her head slightly.
Ultrawoman Malice: I WAS ABOUT TO SAY THE SAME TO YOU!
Both Ultrawomen gave one final cry.
Ultrawoman Talius: HAAAAAAAH!
Ultrawoman Malice: RAAAAAAAH!
Their beams intensified.
Blue and crimson light struck its exposed chest organ.
The protective membrane shattered.
Energy poured directly into the creature's core.
The world breaker screamed as enormous cracks spread across its armor. Crimson energy erupted from every joint, while the towers along its back exploded one after another.
The creature attempted to stand.
Its injured leg collapsed beneath it.
The central eye dimmed.
Bio Dominion Herald: IMPOSSIBLE...THE SOVEREIGN HEIR...CANNOT BE DENIED...
Ultrawoman Talius: WATCH US!
The two Ultrawomen thrust their arms forward with the last of their strength.
The combined beam pierced straight through the world-breaker's core.
For an instant, its entire body became a silhouette of burning red light.
The enormous monster erupted in a tremendous explosion that engulfed the surrounding countryside, sending a towering column of energy into the sky.
The shockwave rolled outward, but the Ultrawomen crossed their arms and projected the last remnants of their power into a protective barrier, preventing the blast from reaching Metro City.
As the explosion faded, fragments of black armor dissolved into glowing particles.
The world breaker was gone.
Above the battlefield, the enormous Bio Dominion portal began collapsing. Its organic edges contracted, and the remaining brood organisms vanished into the rapidly closing aperture.
With one final flash of crimson lightning, the portal disappeared.
Sunlight returned to Metro City.
The invasion had been stopped.
At EDF headquarters, Travis stared at the monitor.
The image had been temporarily overwhelmed by the explosion, but as the signal returned, the scanner displayed only two fading energy signatures.
The world breaker's signal was gone.
Jack slowly stood from his chair.
Jack: Did...did they actually do it?
Travis checked the scanner again.
Travis: The monster's gone. The portal is gone. No remaining bio organic activity anywhere around the city.
Jack raised both arms.
Jack: WE DID IT!
Travis stared at him.
Travis: THEY did it!
Jack: Yeah, but we helped!
Jack pumped his fist.
Jack: EDF! EDF! EDF!
Travis allowed himself a relieved laugh before looking back toward the screen.
The two Ultrawomen were still standing.
Barely.
Their Color Timers were flashing dangerously fast.
Travis: Come on, you two. Get out of there.
Talius looked down at the smoking crater where the world breaker had stood.
She could hardly believe what had happened.
They had actually won.
Ultrawoman Talius: We...we did it.
Malice stood beside her, breathing heavily.
Ultrawoman Malice: Yes. We did.
Talius looked toward her.
Ultrawoman Talius: You know...you're actually pretty good at this.
Malice gave her an exhausted look.
Ultrawoman Malice: I have been fighting for centuries.
Ultrawoman Talius: Well, I've only been fighting for a few months, so I think I'm doing pretty well!
Malice almost smiled.
Ultrawoman Malice: You're reckless, undisciplined, and you talk far too much.
Ultrawoman Talius: And yet, you couldn't have done that without me.
Malice sighed.
Ultrawoman Malice: ...No. I couldn't.
Talius grinned.
Ultrawoman Talius: HA! I knew it!
Her chest crystal emitted one final, desperate warning.
BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!
Talius looked down.
Ultrawoman Talius: Oh! Right! WE'RE DYING!
Malice looked at her own rapidly blinking Color Timer.
Ultrawoman Malice: We must leave immediately!
Both Ultrawomen looked toward the open sky.
Talius raised one arm.
Ultrawoman Talius: SHUWATCH!
She launched herself upward in a brilliant streak of blue and gold light.
Malice followed a moment later, leaving a crimson trail across the clouds.
The two streaks climbed high above Metro City before separating and fading from sight.
From the ground, the people of Metro City cheered as their protectors disappeared into the heavens.
Several minutes later, in an isolated field beyond the damaged rail yard, Tali materialized in a flash of blue light and immediately collapsed onto her backside.
Tali: OWWWWWW!
Her entire body ached.
She looked down at her wristband, which had returned to its ordinary blue glow.
Tali: Princess? You still there?
Princess Talius: I am here.
Tali: Good. Because I'm pretty sure I just used every muscle in my body, including some I didn't know existed.
Princess Talius: You performed admirably, Tali.
Tali smiled.
Tali: Thanks.
Princess Talius: And...thank you for defending me.
Tali looked up at the sky.
Tali: Hey, nobody deserves to be forced into marrying some creepy space tyrant. Besides, I kind of like being Ultrawoman Talius.
Princess Talius: Even after everything that has happened?
Tali: Well, I could do without the giant monsters trying to kill me every week. But the flying is pretty cool.
Princess Talius laughed softly inside her mind.
A second flash of light appeared nearby.
Marcy emerged from the crimson glow, staggering slightly before catching herself against a tree.
She looked considerably less elegant than she had during the pageant. Her black dress was dirty, her blonde hair was disheveled, and her expression suggested that she was not pleased with any of it.
Tali looked at her.
Tali: Hey, Marcy! You look terrible!
Marcy glared at her.
Marcy: I suppose I should thank you for helping me destroy that creature.
Tali: I suppose you should.
Marcy hesitated.
Marcy: ...Thank you.
Tali blinked.
Tali: Wow. That actually happened.
Marcy: Do not make me regret it.
Tali rose to her feet and brushed the dirt from her uniform.
Tali: So...what now?
Marcy looked toward the distant skyline.
Marcy: The Bio Dominion will send more monsters. Imperius Vhal will not abandon his claim simply because we defeated one of his siege organisms.
Tali: Great. More angry wedding presents.
Marcy: We need to prepare. And you need proper training.
Tali: Oh, no. I'm not signing up for some horrible alien boot camp.
Marcy: You barely know how to use your powers.
Tali: I helped destroy a monster the size of a mountain!
The two stared at each other.
For several seconds, neither spoke.
Marcy finally sighed.
Marcy: You are exhausting.
Tali: And you're impossible.
Marcy turned to leave, but Tali called after her.
Tali: Hey, Marcy!
Marcy stopped.
Marcy: What?
Tali: We're really going to fight the Dominion together, right?
Marcy looked back.
Marcy: I was supposed to use this power to help Axis Nova. My Uncle Heimrich will be disappointed to find out I have other plans, and that I've also alerted the Geist Corporation about his where abouts. Ultrawoman Malice has shown me the error in my prior judgement. I need to save the world...not control it.
Tali's expression softened slightly.
Marcy: Malice never believed she should have married Imperius Vhal. And I will never allow him to take her against her will.
Tali: Good. Because I'm definitely not marrying him either.
Marcy shook her head.
Marcy: He wants the princess, not you.
Tali: She's literally inside me! I think we're going to have to discuss the legal implications of that!
Marcy actually laughed.
It was brief, but genuine.
Marcy: We'll discuss it later.
She walked toward the road.
Tali watched her go, feeling strangely pleased.
For the first time since becoming Ultrawoman Talius, she wasn't the only person on Earth who truly understood what she was fighting against.
She had an ally.
An incredibly irritating, arrogant, frequently insulting ally.
But an ally nonetheless.
Her communicator beeped.
Travis: TALI! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!
Tali winced.
Tali: Uh...near the river district?
Travis: NEAR THE RIVER DISTRICT?! WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT YOU FOR AN HOUR!
Tali: Sorry! I got caught up in something!
Jack: Did you see the giant monster fight?! It was AMAZING!
Tali: Uh...yeah! I caught a little of it!
Jack: The two large ladies did this awesome combined laser thing! It was like something out of a superhero show!
Tali: Wow! Sounds cool!
Travis: Just get back to headquarters! We need to discuss what happened!
The communicator clicked off.
Tali sighed.
Tali: Back to work, I guess.
She started walking toward Metro City.
After several steps, Princess Talius spoke again.
Princess Talius: Tali?
Tali: Yeah?
Princess Talius: I believe we make a remarkable team.
Tali smiled.
Tali: Yeah. We do.
High above Earth, the last traces of the Bio Dominion portal faded from the atmosphere.
For now, Metro City was safe.
But the Dominion had learned something important.
Princess Talius was no longer running alone.
And neither was Ultrawoman Malice.
